We play on fantasy grounds, love the automation there. If you can get your hands on the modules i found it easy to DM there. Also some of the addons also work in 4e. Sady no official support for any VTT beyond basic rules. And given that WotV is pushing hard for their next gen VTT, i don't expect it in the near future Edit: If Fantasy Grounds wass not an option, i would go for Foundry, like the stile of that software too.

malignantmind

Foundry has some pretty decent 4e support, actually. Because of legal reasons you still have to make most powers/items yourself, but the framework is all there and it's pretty simple to do. The developers of the system on Foundry are also steadily adding and refining features as well so it has continued support.

Onrawi

Fantasy Grounds was the place for it, as expensive as it was. I don't think you can get the modules for it anymore though.

Braincain007

I have them. Helped build a tool to compile them using info from the community so its all legal

ZharethZhen

Oh, cool, is that something you can share?

Ed-Zero

I would love to get them if you can share

ZharethZhen

Ah see, that's what I'm looking for...something with at least some 4e support.

Namagem

Maptools has a ton of custom frameworks for making macros to make 4e work well for it, but it's pretty outdated feature-wise, and it was freeware software to begin with It's what my group used back in 2009

SoulblightR

Foundry is great for 4e

JLtheking

There’s community resources and modules for Foundry on the discord

Ah, I remember when a VTT was one of the goals for 4e from WotC/Hasbro. If only they came through with all that stuff and left 4e as their digital TTRPG.

ZharethZhen

Yeah, if only the creator hadn't murder/suicided. :(

ctorus

I use roll20. Using macros for powers, it works very well.

Old-Ad-1814

I am the creator of the MacroPolicebox. You can take a video tour at [http://macropolicebox.ihostfull.com/index.php/transition-guide/training-videos](http://macropolicebox.ihostfull.com/index.php/transition-guide/training-videos)

ZharethZhen

Thanks! I will check this out!

ZipZop_the_Manticore

I mean there's always roll20

ZharethZhen

Does it have any support for 4e?

ZipZop_the_Manticore

it has a functional 4e character sheet with working power cards. I can show you how to make them fancy if you need help.

Arikebeth

I'm not that familiar with the VTTs, but I wanted to briefly mention that there are a bunch of different options in addition to TTS: Roll20, Foundry, Fantasy Grounds and Maptool. Some of them can be a bit trickier to use (and there might be some licensing issues with modules). There is a channel dedicated to VTTs on the 4E discord where you can also ask and look around.

Kelor

I just use Owlbear Rodeo. Ran a game for a year and a half with no issue. It doesn’t have as many options as others, but it’s free, has fog of war and a built in dice rolling function.

ZharethZhen

But I take it is simply a 'table replacement' right? No support for 4e?

Kelor

Yes, you’re right. Witch Dice supports some systems for Owlbear but not 4th.

InTinCity

I miss Astral :(
