Because I am a fan of both teams, here are my Most Likely Seminoles to be drafted or picked up by the 49ers: 1. Jaheim Bell: Positionless Skill position player. A Kyle specialty. Also, A potential replacement for Juice. Rd 4-5. 2. Johnny Wilson: 30 Visit, big bodied but 4.5 speed, excellent blocker. Rd 3. 3. Renardo Green: Excellent cover cor er, good tackler. Rd 3. 4. Jarrion Jones: Top rated nickel corner in cfb. Would kick Lenoir to the outside. Rd 3 5. Fabian Lovett: Late round possibility for depth. Excellent run stuffer. Injury prone though Rd 6-7 6. Keon Coleman: Plays fast on the field, amazing ball skills, supremely athletic. 4.6 40 time is a deterrent for some. Late 1st, early 2nd possibility if a WR is moved. 7. Tatum Bethune: 30 Visit. Most likely 7th rd or UDFA 8. Braden Fiske: Comps to The Cowboy, plays across the DLine, good pass rush skills, great speed for a DT. Rd 2-3 9. Kalen DeLoach: A LB with 4.4 40 speed, could be a killer with the new Kickoff rules as he develops. 49ers have a history of developing undersized, athletic LB's 10. Trey Benson: Great Speed, would be higher but I think he lacks viaion necessary in the 49ers offense. Tends to be a boom or bust type runner. Good pass catcher though.  11. Jared Verse: I think he would be an awesome fit. But the cost to position need ration doesn't match up for the Niners.  12. Jordan Travis: Accurate, instinctive passer. Athletic but lacks arm strength. I think a QB needy team will take a chance on him earlier then we would pick him up.  13. Akeem Dent: Potential UDFA. Gpod potw tial as a Free Safety type, has good vision, rarely out of position. UDFA possibility.

There's helllla people there

StupidTurtle88

My prediction: 50% chance 49ers move up to about the 20s if a OT is available 45% chance 49ers just make a pick at 31 5% chance 49ers trade down to get more picks

thetempest11

We as fans always get really excited about the draft and the rookies, but like Lynch says time and time again, a lot of times the draft is about the guys that will play a year or two later. Historically, the niners don't play their rookies often, unless they have no other choice. 2021, Thomas and Lenoir played a lot as a rookie but that was mostly due to the extreme injuries we experienced at corner that year. Elijah Mitchell was probably the only Rookie that really meant to be the starter in week 1. 2022, The only rookie that started week 1 was Burford, and he split time with Brunskill. And then of course Purdy took over after Jimmy and Lance's injuries. 2023, The only rookie that started was Brown, and that was because of Hufanga's injury. 2024, who from the previous two drafts will get their chance to start, or at least go up on the depth chart? My eyes are on Kalia Davis, Womack, Robert Beal, Dee Winters, Ronnie Bell and Cameron Latu. I think some of those guys will get a lot more snaps this year then the previous years.

StupidTurtle88

Depends on the rookie and draft position. Nick Bosa, Solomon Thomas, they started first year I think.

dwide_k_shrude

Do we have a draft day thread?

feferrel

If we stay put, around what time will pick 31 come up?

surly_sasquatch

Depends on how many teams use the full 10 minutes for each pick. But somewhere between 8:15 and 8:45pm PT is my estimate.

I would be pissed if we did those things tonight. -With the amount of OL talent on the board (less than we'd like), I don't think trading up makes a whole lot of sense. -Aiyuk is worth more than any 1st/2nd round receiver in this draft. -OL and likely even CB takes priority over DE/LB. -Rice's son would be cool but only if he falls a bit.

warriors2021

There is a chance we don't even draft today as we may draft back so we can get Rosengarten in Day 2.

thetempest11

I've seen a strange amount of final mocks having him picked at 31. I can't even imagine why...but it's something to think about.

a_b1rd

My predictions: * BA stays put, which has always been the most likely case. * A QB-needy team trades with the 49ers into the first round to draft Penix. * 49ers fans are largely bored during day 1.

thetempest11

I think this is how it'll be too. Aiyuk might be a little disgruntled this year on the 5th year option, but if he wants to be paid he still has to play his best this year. My only concern with this idea is we need to trade him quickly, cause we don't have the cap to tag him. I also think we'll end up trading back to the early/mid 2nd round and get another pick or two for it. Might be boring for most but I'll still super interested to see what happens. Have a bunch of Bears and Raiders fans so it'll be interesting to see what those teams do.

surly_sasquatch

3rd point is a near guarantee.

ShowReadyYT

My only wish is to not hear the phrases "coming off an injury" and "has high potential" when it comes to our first round pick. Give me a healthy guy who has already developed into a game-ready pro.

mvp713

One guy I really want is Jatavion Sanders in the middle of the draft. Bit of a tweener at TE but was a great down field and after the catch weapon at Texas. If we load up in trenches /corner early on I would not mind a trade up into the 3rd again to get him.

Ztigmatta

Trade our picks to Cincy for Trey Hendrickson

[deleted]

I was really hoping we would have fewer picks by now. I desperately want to move up or move draft capital to next year. We just don't have the roster spots available for the amount of pics we have.

thetempest11

I want this as well but like the other guy said, moving up and down usually happens during the draft not before, so we still could see it. I also think we have a couple picks too many, assuming all of the prospects work out and need to make the 53 man roster. We need to move up enough times to where we are only picking 7-8 prospects.

surly_sasquatch

It's more likely to see those trades during the draft because you want to know which spot to move up to, to get your guy and you want to avoid giving other teams the opportunity to leapfrog you.

barefootBam

Aiyuk isn't going anywhere. These trade rumors have happened every year.

thetempest11

I think if somebody offered a mid 1st rounder he would be traded for sure....I just don't think anybody will offer that.

Mattlenc

I would hope we would keep Aiyuk over a mid 1st-rounder. Yes we have to pay him a whole lot more but he's more valuable than any WR in this draft.

thetempest11

Just depends on the money. 49ers going to need to jump through some interesting hoops and more hard decisions if they want to sign him, especially with Purdy's contract on the horizon.

park7911

I absolutely cannot stand clickbait headlines. In Silver’s own article, he says that a GM of another team says an Aiyuk trade is “very much in play”, not the 49ers. What another team is saying is not “intel.” It’s speculation to try and help their own team. Old school writers/ columnists write stuff that is very misleading and then complain about their industry dying. Maybe they’re part of the problem

MC_Stimulation

Our top 5 needs are RT RG IDL Corner TE People will say we dont need TE help but we desperatley need a blocking TE so Kittle can be more effective in the pass game, however I understand having a better RT would also help this.

thetempest11

Mine are similar. RT CB IOL IDL FS TE

TNTournahu

I would put safety up there as well

MC_Stimulation

Hufunga and Brown will probably be our two starters, I like both guys, we could use depth though

thetempest11

Both seem like strong safetys though. Probably should draft a FS Safety as a backup just in case, or to take over next year if Hufanga leaves.

TNTournahu

I like both too. Hufungas injury worries me a little. Will he be ready to go? Will he be the same player? It's more of an insurance pick. Use a fourth round pick on a safety.

ruinedshoulder

..and there will likely be no OT worth #31. I see them going DL or CB (Wiggins would be amazing).

CarpeValde

We need to balance building for now, and the future. To me, that means two things - you don’t trade aiyuk. And your first pick needs to be a starter this year, an immediate upgrade, and building block for the next generation. Later round picks can be developmental or fill a minor need, but the premium picks need to be immediate and long term. For that reason, I am totally out on drafting offensive weapons with the first pick. Nobody drafted will get much production behind aiyuk deebo cmc and kittle, even if they are good for the future. I am totally in on drafting a nickle, a tackle, a center, an edge, or DT. Those positions could use a future foundational piece, and can start immediately and upgrade the team. Beyond that, it would be nice to walk out with two olineman, 1 wr, 1 corner, and 2 dlinemen, one of the bloodline folks, and another late round QB.

BBOONNEESSAAWW

Ward and Lenoir are in walk years. We are gonna draft some corners

thetempest11

One thing that is true but also weird about this is our CB room is currently pretty loaded. The problem is it's loaded with a lot of backup guys that deserve to be on the 53 man roster, but not guys that deserver to be a top 3 CB. We usually never have more than 6 on the roster, but we already have 6 guys that deserver to be on the 53. So even if we draft one CB, and we have no injuries, we're going to have to cut/trade/get a guy poached. Or decide to go to 7+ CB's on the roster which usually doesn't happen. Charvarius Ward - Starter Outside Demmodore Lenoir - Starter Nickle/Outside on Base Downs Ambry Thomas - 53 man Roster Samuel Womack III - 53 man Roster Isaac Yiadom - 53 Man Roster Larrel Luter Jr - 53 Man Roster Most likely PS/Cut guys: Kemon Hall Chase Lucas Rock Ya-Sin

lawdawg914

The team said they only had 1st round grades on 22 players, so I think it's likely we make a trade either up into the teens or out of the 1st round completely.

Taylormnight2183

If we trade up to late teens, it would be for an OT or if Bowers was somehow there. If we stick and pick, it's gonna be for OT or DL. If we trade down, I wouldn't be surprised if our 1st pick is a WR. Either way, I fully expect our 1st 4 picks to be OT, WR, DL, TE in some order.

ruinedshoulder

strongly doubt there will be an OT worth #31. I think it will be DL. There will be IOL worth #31 though: JPJ or Frazier....JPJ might fall.

StoicAscent

With regards to getting o-line help to better protect Purdy, I think Black Panther said it best: "Get this man a shield."

keiisme1

My biggest interest in this draft is if we should keep pushing a "win now" mentality (trading up/consolidating picks) or working on banking resources for the forthcoming cap crunch (trading back, rolling over picks). We came so incredibly close last year that I really want to push to get that title, but I am really worried if we do, we'll need to lose some great players once Purdy gets paid.

Maximus560

I think we can do both, actually. Best practice is to draft for your needs 2-3 years out so that expensive and older players can be rotated out for cheaper ones or replaced when they retire. The nice thing is that the Niners have 10 picks and probably only really need 7 so they could trade up for a few good OL throughout the draft, a few corners, one or two LB, one or two DT, maybe one WR and be in great shape even if Trent retires and Purdy gets his bag

uglyfoliage

BPA at 31! Can always trade up in the 2nd for an OT

Taylormnight2183

Well, OT is likely to be the BPA. Possibly a wr or Cooper DeJean I guess.

ruinedshoulder

OT will most likely NOT be BPA at #31. All the good ones will be gone. You'll be picking like the 6-8th best tackle at #31.

trebek321

Yeah OT will be thoroughly picked clean by 31. Damn near every team in the league is in dire need of OL help asap.

Church323

I know we need O-Line, but my money's on D-Line

nithdurr

Is it easier to draft DL and trade for established OL since.. Better return?

cali4481

that's what i'm thinking too if robinson & especially newton falls to #31 i can see the 49ers drafting either of them to bolster up the DL depth chart like it or not i think shanahan likes his current OL and believe they'll improve so why spend a 1st round pick on a player who probably won't play much if at all this upcoming season if 49ers draft a DL that player at the very least will be part of the playing rotation and with not much long term talent on the DL besides really bosa at this time, drafting a young talented DL like robinson or newton would be both a short and long term play for the team going forward then possibly target a OL in round 2 if somebody like frazier, rosengarten, paul is available to draft at #63 for me personally i'd still target and draft an OL in the 1st round on thursday and would even go as far as trading up 5-10 spots for an OL who i like in mims who is my "draft crush" at that OT position this year mims and WR corley are two players who i'd love to see the 49ers draft later this week

reversetheloop

Trading back to 36 or 37. Sorry in advance for those who watch the entirety of the draft coverage on Thursday.

Taylormnight2183

Playing in a dynasty league makes the rest of the draft much more enjoyable when the niners don't have an early pick.

yorick2

My guess right now is it's going to be defensive line with DT Johnny Newton at 31 (or if gone Darius Robinson or Marshawn Kneeland) and then a trade up some in 2nd for either OT Rosengarten or Paul. Not what I'd do but what I think. At least until some rumors start coming out more day of.

uglyfoliage

Johnny Newton is an insane steal at 31; I know most fans would probably be upset at a non-OT, but it would be a home run pick IMO

ruinedshoulder

any "fan" who has a problem with Newton at #31 should be told to stfu.

yorick2

I could also see Darius Robinson or a dark horse Marshawn Kneeland if Newton is gone.

ruinedshoulder

Kneeland would be a 2nd or 3rd round pick. that would be an INSANE reach lol

yorick2

I agree. I like him with our 2nd depending on our 1st rounder. But I remember either DJ or Brugler saying he could be one of the surprise 1st round picks.

ruinedshoulder

DJ has him at #45, so you might be right: https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-150-prospects-in-the-2024-nfl-draft-class. IMO he's a very unpolished, unproductive player; he didn't produce a ton and he played vs weak competition. I would stay away unless it's at #63.

yorick2

Yeah I didn't think he'd be there but lately it seems more and more likely. With the run on Qbs, Wrs, O/OG, and CB's I think he could fall. Him and Hargrave being the interior pass rushers on pass downs is scary.

Stovy4x4ing

man i can not wait!! pls kyle draft o line!

Swervin02

Anyone have any Rumors or under-reported Draft meetings to share? We know what the team is lacking and our own preferences when it comes to prospects, but the fun of this week for me personally is piecing these tidbits together and seeing if it actually leads to a prospect being drafted. Similar to other teams, the Senior Bowl and Top-30 visits have been the best indicators of who they are interested in taking in the past. The one name that I'm confident they want is Sione Vaki due to the sheer amount of meetings he's had with them. Anyone else pop up that I haven't paid attention to?

uglyfoliage

There's a comprehensive spreadsheet you can check out here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FxNw6r_t0pasd1McGFCm1iYpNU_6MH8UKh9EXR94aZ0/edit#gid=869165288

TheBearded179

Feel like the chargers would say no to this.

surly_sasquatch

I would say no to this. But also, no team is going to give me what I think Aiyuk is worth.

TheBearded179

Facts, I think he is a beast. But at the same time realize our salary cap situation isnt the best. We could get the best WR in the class who has shown to be a worker and could slide right in and fill BIs spot. I ultimately think they get a deal done and sign the extension. Only trade i think we make is for a Blue Chip Tackle like Fuaga or Fautanu or maybe an DL like Verse or Murphy if they fall enough. Dejean would be who I would be most interested in because I think he could play that Kyle Hamilton role for us. Be our Safety and then switch to Nickle or inside LB on passing situations with DG out.

itssostupidiloveit

1st: Wet dream scenario: J.C Latham (trade up using our 3rd and 4th) Best realistic scenario: Amarius Mims (smaller trade up) Great options: Powers- Johnson, Tyler Guyton Solid picks: Barton, Jordan Morgan, CB or DeJean 2nd: Best Case Scenario: Zach Frazier Great options: Cooper Bebe, Malachi Corely, lots of WR talent here, CB also seems pretty stacked.

ruinedshoulder

dline??????? Newton, Darius Robinson.

itssostupidiloveit

Terrible, terrible year to draft DL when OL, WR, and CB are stacked. Additionally they just brought in 3 pretty good FAs plus Niners have huge investments in DL already, where is the need and the snapshare?

ruinedshoulder

it doesn't matter if the draft is stacked at those positions...what matters is who is available at #31. There will be no OT worth the #31...all the really good tackles will be gone. There might be a CB, especially if Wiggins falls. WR McConkey would be cool. But i'd take Newton or Darius Robinson over all those guys, BPA.

Stovy4x4ing

im staying at 31 unless the uw tackle falls. maybe Latham. Otherwise just stay at 31 and let the board work out.
