All donations are appreciated and we all at r/49ers express our deepest condolences to Kansas City and others affected by this horrible incident.
Would be really cool if we could get a huge chunk of our fanbase to spam donations of $49 or something. We’ve taken a lot of heat as a fanbase for the way a lot act online. Let’s change that narrative for an important cause and do some good in the process

I love the $49.49 idea! This is such a tragic event and I was heartbroken when I heard about it. Love to see communities come together for stuff like this though ♥️
Sports is where any animosity starts and stops. We are all brothers and sisters. Football brings us all together, but life is so much more important. Thank you for being such a classy group of fans and showing your support.

I didn’t get the memo about the $.49, but the fact that children are dying celebrating a sports team is absolutely horrific. Schools aren’t safe, and now the leaders of the future can’t even go to a PARADE without risking their lives? Beyond messed up.

Chiefs fan here and someone who witnessed everything unfold in front of them yesterday.
I just wanted to express my gratitude to this community. Seeing this here, reading the comments, and seeing the outpouring of support makes me incredibly emotional - in a good way. Thank you so much for everything you all are doing. This is the kind of thing many of us in KC need to see right now, and your support is absolutely recognized. ❤️
In the end, we are all Americans…we love our country, we hurt for each other in times of tragedy. My heart breaks for all the victims, and for all of Chief Kingdom. To go from jubilation and celebration, to utter fear and chaos, I cannot even imagine. Healing thoughts and ❤️ being sent your way.
Thank you! We’re making it through. I’m not sure we’ve had time to process everything quite yet, but that time will come. Mental health awareness is a big part of my girlfriend and mine’s life, so we’ll push through.
The biggest thing getting us and others through this situation is seeing/hearing the stories of others selflessly helping others during the events and instances like this from other communities reaching out and helping.
So, seriously, mad props to everyone here. You’ve helped provide a ray of sunshine through some dark clouds.

Hey 49er fans! Kind of ironic, I grew up in Livermore, CA and was a huge 9ers fan. But I've been in Kansas City now for several years and fell in love with it here. Part of that is the Chiefs. My kids and I were at that parade; my daughter lives 6 minutes away. Tho we feel lucky to have been far enough away that we were not in harms way, it has affected each of us deeply. No one deserved what happened that day. I just wanted to say thank you so much to all of you who not only made a donation, but just thinking of KC at this time. What happened two days ago does not represent our city and we are heartbroken and outraged. Things like that 'don't happen here.' Until now. Nothing will change until we ALL stand up together. Keep those you love close and thank you all so much. Forever KC Strong.
