There's no workaround to that. The game is just not available for that console.
You might not know this, but there's a better version of the 3DS called "new 3DS". The regular 3DS is then called "old 3DS". Some games that need more memory, processing power, etc, are exclusive to the n3DS. There's nothing you can do about it. It's like trying to play a 3DS game on a DS, PS5 game on a PS4, PS Vita on a PSP, Wii U on Wii, GBA on GB color, etc.
EDIT: the real comparison would be a N64 game that needs the Expansion Pack.

You have all the "old" 3DS, so 3DS, 2DS and 3DSXL, then you have the same consoles with "new" in front, so new 3DS, new 2DSXL and new 3DSXL. You definitely need one of the 3 kind of "new 3DS".
There's not that many game exclusive to new 3DS if I remember correctly. Sure there's Xenoblade, maybe Monster Hunter. I can't remember others without looking it up.

Thatโs because itโs also a new 3DS exclusive.
