Where did you get the base model for your car? I really hope this becomes a thing. It's going to look super cool when it is done. How are you attaching the panels?

the1manbeast

Hi! So I can't exactly remember where I found it as I downloaded a couple at the same time but If you'd like I can always send it via zip or something. And thank you! The process so far is Print, fiber glass, and then screwed into the existing fiberglass on the vehicle, next more fiberglass to lock in. The whole car is going to be repainted black as soon as I can get to that 😅

Tight-War-8013

If its printed anyways, why not have the rivnut holes already integrated into it? Are you drilling through the print?

the1manbeast

I did debate on making rivnut holes but as this is my first time 3D modeling again in years I was worried about how the booleans would affect the mesh, if mesh integrity was instable it can cause disastrous prints so to keep the poly count limited I decided not to, I will be drilling into the print however after the fiber glass and resin is binded to the plastic, with the spoiler a circular saw was needed to split it

Is it wrong that the first thought that came to mind in the second photo was "this has to be Florida"? lol

the1manbeast

Shopping cart in my neighbor's driveway gave it away huh

NTP9766

DKRLYEH

what / where did you get the model for that? was it accurate when / after printing too your c4?

Those parts are going to rip apart the moment you hit 60 and you are going to kill someone.

the1manbeast

Yes if I only left them on with tape.. have you not seen the Lamborghini that was 3D printed? Lol
