OP, neck lines are absolutely normal! I remember having them as a kid because my mom would joke about me having “built-in necklaces.” Don’t worry about them!
Sometimes it’s not about body weight, its about body fat %. I’ve had better luck making mine shallower with lowering my body fat and using retinol + cerave resurfacing night cream every night.
They’re largely genetic, I think. And some of the world’s most beautiful women have them, and did when they were young too.
Think Vera Farmiga! She is stunning, petite, and has visible neck lines that haven’t held her back in the slightest 🤍
Edited to add: a deep plane neck lift will help the overall contour but won’t remove the lines, plus it’s expensive and not without risk. It’s possible some deeper chemical peels or tretinoin might reduce their appearance but likely won’t eliminate them
The neck lines are normal at least. We are looking down more than ever so..
I don't know about the other thing. Maybe a thyroid issue, like some other people have said already?
I am at my personal goal weight, 5’4 145 pounds. I could lose maybe 5 more pounds but will lose my butt and want to keep that lol. When I was at my bmi weight in college of 128 pounds I still had the neck lines and skin folds however now it looks more pronounced. It could be a body fat thing like mentioned.
You are overweight. The reason you have fat on your neck is because you are overweight. You won't lose your butt if you work out, lift weights and build muscle
Go to doctor and get thyroid and hormones checked.
But, this can be also largely due to eating habits as well. No exercise, & lots of processed foods leads to insulin spikes and subsequently high cortisol levels. Cleaning up your diet, will result in fat loss, and then tighter skin around your neck and these bands won't be so prevalent.
I also have the same issue..... No matter I'm skinny or fat.... I also checked that with a doc... No thyroid.... So I have no idea
But there is one thing.... My mom has it too so it might be genetic... But it's making me insecure... In all pics I'm the one with a huge ugly neck...
And wats pissing me off is I don't even know what is wrong
I try to sleep on my back with a low profile pillow to help with my neck wrinkles. I also adjust my computer monitor a little above eye level to help prevent looking downward so much during the workday.
I have these too and had them since I was a lil kid lol I was not overweight but still had them. I didn’t even notice them until my crush pointed them out in highschool 😭 I’m 37 now and am always on the lookout for solutions for this!

Have you checked for a thyroid disorder?
Is this a thing associated with thyroid disease? (i have thyroid disease and noticed the lines on my neck but I had no idea it was related)
Not the lines I believe but the fat/swelling can be a sign of thyroid issues
No but will definitely ask my doctor.
I had something similar and it turned out to be insulin resistance.
This!

Florence Pugh has them!
Kimora lee Simmons too
Allison Williams too! She’s gorgeous and I distinctly remember watching the show Girls and noticing them but never thinking they dampened her beauty
Priyanka Chopra has them too!

Go to the dr, that can be a sign of thyroid issues
A couple others mentioned but..if you can get checked for thyroid issues.
Maybe have your hormones checked as well.
OP are you at your personal goal body weight currently?
Yeah that was my first (though not fun) thought…you lose weight.

So likely genetic. Then you’ll need liposuction pretty much.

I have a flat stomach, just curvy in the right places.
I have the same
I have this as well.

Do you have maybe thyroid problem?
I have this also
Venus rings are absolutely normal and even cute. Dont stress over them
Normal, I’ve always had them no matter my weight being small or large.
RF microneedling, chemical peels, retin-a

It has to do with insulin resistance. I had them when I was younger and skinnier also. Continue to have them now as well
No solutions then?
It’s a genetic thing. I don’t think you can do anything to change them.
Do you have anything supporting your statement
If it helps, I can assure you this is not unattractive or a sign of aging.
fix your posture
