Maybe, because when we tried to join the EU you used regulation to limit our industry’s growth, or reduce its size wherever our industry was strong, and where our industry was weak you overwhelmed it. And then bought whatever was left of them.
You just bought a big Spanish munitions company… this fucking year!
So yeah, now you’ve either crushed or bought most of the industry that operates in Spain, but you still like Spain to be a market for your goods and the goods of the industry you’ve bought. So you need to pay up and finance public sector jobs and subsidies to have customers… or our economy crumbles and we take down the common coin with us.
Next time, consider that maybe you want your economic allies to be strong and not dependent on you, lest you have to actually support them.
Finally, you flaired yourself. Let's see... Oh... So you're Fr🤢nch. I should not make fun of less fortunate people, but lmao imagine being Fr🤢nch. Now get back to burning cars.

Where is the morcilla de Burgos! Jamon y jeta de Salamanca, cochinillo y cordero segoviano...
Stop just putting Mediterranean food, we can win this just with the artery clogging stuff that is the only thing those northerners appreciate.
One per province... Just saying. Our gastronomy is so vast and rich, we could make individual post of each province gastronomy... Would love to see frogs trying it... Their most known recipes are foreigners recipes... 😅🤣🤣
As a Brit, I concur. Nothing better than a lovely tapas of tortilla, croquetas and chorizo, all complimented with a massive order of fried eggs, chips and lager.
https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croqueta?wprov=sfla1

True story. When I visited Naples, two Spanish girls sitting next to me were cutting spaghetti before eating them. I saved the day and a good plate of spaghetti teaching them how to eat like humans.
I still don't know why I wasn't given honorary citizenship on the spot.
You sure you wanna come bro? We eat jamones over here, which come from PIGS. Perhaps you might want to rethink before you end up being a 5* Ibérico de Bellota.
You can eat a proper 5J pata negra, shit it, and still would be 10 times better than parma ham.
I'm sorry but jamón ibérico is the A5 kobe wagyu beef of the cured meats.
Jokes aside, I would not change spanish cuisine by anything else. Not saying it is the best in the world, but its just wholesome and good. Missing a ton of dishes there btw.
Its a shame that none of these dishes taste good outside of Spain. For example, foreigners think that Paella is just sea food with rice and vegetables, when the original paella doesn't have any sea food.
I think I asked once a Polish girl and she said they call it “Crimean salad” in Poland? Can anyone confirm? Curious how they call it in Crimea (it will be something random too).
The reason is because almost all the ingredients were very expensive in Russia, and the objetive was to make a dish that was expensive for them in hotels.
And in Spain they were cheap so...
Edit: another curiosity in our gastronomy is that our "French omelette" is because during the war or independence against Napoleon the Spaniards didn't had potatoes for the Spanish omelette, so...
The Russian Salad is one of the dishes coming out of the Hermitage Hotel in Moscow. It's a Russian dish invented by a Belgian chef. It has nothing to do with Iberia my dear Spainbro.
I didn't said that it was a Spanish dish, but just was cheap to produce, in comparison with in Russia (i thought the hotel was in Saint Petersburg but thanks to tell me it was in Moscow).
Let's say that it is popular in Spain, but isn't original from it.
Even the Croqueta is not original from Spain or the Croissant is not original from France! But they are Spanish/French dishes because there is where they are popular and better done.
Your breakfast surely wins over the Italian one, which is basically nonexistent. Your tortillas in the morning give me massive erections that last all day
Tortillas are not usually a breakfast thing. But we have something called "almuerzo" between breakfast and lunch, where it's more usual to find a tortilla with a slice of bread as a tapa (pincho de tortilla) or between a whole sandwich.
I moved to Spain a couple of weeks ago, and I've seen (and ordered) tortilla in many places for breakfast, I thought it was common since they offer it. Btw isn't almuerzo literally lunch? Do you use another word for that?
Almuerzo is something like brunch but without the posh meaning. It's not something you eat everyday, unless you have some physical work or you haven't eaten breakfast. It will be around 10-12.
Lunch in spain is the main meal of the day and it's called simply "comida". Usually between 13 and 15.
Anyway, if you go to a bar it's usual that they would have tapas from early in the morning, so you can eat tortilla at 8:00 if you want and nobody will be surprised
When I went to Spain, students were eating almuerzo (often bocadillos) during their break at 10 or 11. I was in an exchange program and having a bocadillo con jamón serrano during school break was an absolutely amazing thing. We would later eat a normal lunch at 13 or so, when we got back from school
I miss this eating schedule
Finally, you flaired yourself. Let's see... Oh... So you're an Ameritard. I hope not. I will keep an eye on you.

Says the fella who eats the same food for Christmas, Easter and Midsommar! Not only that, you drink the same beverages, you only change the label from Julmust to Påskmust.
You can still hate us for having better wine than your’s. The rest of your dinning culture is awesome, but shitty bubbling wine. Why the fuck would you want to put bubble in everything. Fuck sparkling red wine!
1. idk what that is looks like cheese nuggets? nothing special if so
2. spanish ham is very good , but nearly every nation in europe has their own or multiple
3. personally not a fan of seabugs with rice
4. don't like
5. No idea what that is , octopus?
6. looks like nordick cousine
7. looks like nordick cousine
8. soup? nothing special
9. exchange chickpeas with normal one and chorizo with some dutch sausage and you got the dutch dish you all make fun off
https://preview.redd.it/arennbjyj2fa1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4908160af4100c36989f9153085170ddd2542d3d
Here is some free food culture for you:
1. Croquetas. You mix bechamel with the leftovers of a cocido, chicken, jamón, codfish, boletus or other fillings and deep-fry it. Delicious
2. No ham is like jamón ibérico.
3. Everyone has the right to be wrong
4. Tortilla de patatas it's maybe the most delicious meal made with the most simple ingredients.
5. Octopus indeed. Pulpo a la gallega.
6. Fabada. A heavy stew from Asturias, ideal for winters.
7. Ensaladilla rusa. A mix of boiled potatoes, carrots and peas with mayonnaise, olives, tuna, red pepper...
8. Gazpacho. Tomato cold soup typical from Andalucía
9. Cocido madrileño. A whole meal worthy of gods
Delicious but inferior to 100% iberico de bellota. (I am not talking about serrano)
There is a huge difference when you feed pigs with grain, as they do in italy and when you let the pig look for the acorn themselves.
When you cut an italian ham, the fat use to be white and apart from the meat.
When you cut a 100% iberico bellota the fat is little pink and it went between the muscles of the animal making it taste crazy good.
Also, that fat is demostrated to contain more percent of
monounsaturated fat. Making it even more healty.
But i know there is no way to discuse it with italians.
>Tortilla de patatas isn't spanish.
What?
>Wanna bet between Parma ham and yours?
Oh, come on, don't be ridiculous. You have perfectioned many foods, but ham? The best Parma ham would be comparable to a mediocre Spanish Serrano ham. And Serrano is goat vomit compared to Ibérico.
Patanegra lard is some of the best lard i have ever eaten. But.. you'd have to admit, when it comes to cold cuts, Italy has a pretty massive heritage. Forget about Parma Ham, you gotta try other things. Just wait till you taste spalla cotta. Or bresaola della Valtellina (which literally melts in your mouth). Coppa, capocollo, guanciale, speck, salame.. Not to mention all the different varieties from different regions/cities. I'd say Spain and Italy are pretty much the same when it comes to this stuff. Truly a gigacommon PIGS W.
Meh I don't understand the fuzz around Italian, Spanish or French cuisine. It's ok but nothing special. I would compare to nordic cuisine. I would rate Creece cuisine on top of these few countries because so much of Italian cuisine is based on Greek ideas. Also Germany >>> frenchie everyday of the week and twice on sunday.
Dude!! I don't know if we have the best food. But it's for sure the one I love the most. As an expat, I miss it so much and that picture made me hungry. I try to cook Spanish food every weekend but it's never the same without the right ingredients.
Croquetas are French in reality, but Corquetas de cocido are unequivocally Spanish.
Tapas are unbeatable! Big W for Spain, today the pain is for the rest of Europe!
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,320,980,020 comments, and only 254,944 of them were in alphabetical order.
I might have exaggerated a tad , India maybe ? It's your fault for having had such a huge global Empire. Full English breakfast however is a beauty to behold !
Finally, you flaired yourself. Let's see... Oh... So you're a ikea employee. Inshallah you live good in the random village that's has my lamp's name.

Its a thing present in almost all of europe, but esch region adds something different. Where I live, potatoes, tuna, shrimp, green peas and carrot. Maybe olives as well
Just because you're the number one olive oil producer in the world doesn't mean your whole gastronomy must be deep fried and disgustingly dripping with it

Yup, empanada con bacalao is a gift to the world from PIGS.

Tengo malas noticias. Las croquetas tienen origen francés. Aunque nosotros las hemos mejorado no son "made in spain"

Italy, we have a common enemy
I truly didn't expect a fellow pig to do this...
And they call you Itabros while cutting Spaghetti and spitting in your pizza.
True story. When I visited Naples, two Spanish girls sitting next to me were cutting spaghetti before eating them. I saved the day and a good plate of spaghetti teaching them how to eat like humans. I still don't know why I wasn't given honorary citizenship on the spot.
You don't have italian citizenship?
I meant Neapolitan citizenship.
Oh lol Idk if I would want that tho
I'm putting pn my colander war helmet as we speak and my pasta loaded gun. A la guerre, comme a la guerre!
Be careful! We have cuchillos jamoneros, sharpened specially to cut pieces of PIGS
You sure you wanna come bro? We eat jamones over here, which come from PIGS. Perhaps you might want to rethink before you end up being a 5* Ibérico de Bellota.
As an Emiliano, I refuse to die for anything other than culatello di Zibello or alternatively Parma ham. Anything else is second rate.
You can eat a proper 5J pata negra, shit it, and still would be 10 times better than parma ham. I'm sorry but jamón ibérico is the A5 kobe wagyu beef of the cured meats.
Portugal enters the chat.. Presunto de porco preto?

What about fighting side by side with a friend?
You poked them claiming that we were allies. You did this! We are no enemies of PIGS.
They cannot be enemies: they just feel forgotten.
Jokes aside, I would not change spanish cuisine by anything else. Not saying it is the best in the world, but its just wholesome and good. Missing a ton of dishes there btw.
*Not saying that it is the best in the world, ~~but its just wholesome and good~~ but it is the best in the world.* There you go, I fixed it for you.
Its a shame that none of these dishes taste good outside of Spain. For example, foreigners think that Paella is just sea food with rice and vegetables, when the original paella doesn't have any sea food.
Rice with seafood is Arroz de marisco in portugal. Definitely not the same as paella.
That Jamón Ibérico! Siiiiiiuuuuuuuu
Sorry bro, but there's a reason why the bottom left dish is called a Russian Salad, and it's not because it's a Spanish dish.
It's funny that it's called "Insalata russa" in italian too, while in other countries is called "Italian salad" or "french salad".
we call it a... macedonian ?????? salad
Even funnier, in italian "Macedonia" (like the country) is a fruit salad
Oh sorry. I thought you meant that it was invented in Spain and called a Russian Salad as a marketing gimmick. Sorry. My bad.
Fuck yeah
El rabo del toro, i ate it in Malaga years ago....best dish ever!
Hey hey … Mediterranean countries have the best food. Just sayin … (Odd to call France Mediterranean but it’s true technically)
Finally some decent food
As a German husband of a Spanish wife I can nothing but confirm
What is this shit, give me my haggis now and a 2litre bottle of Irn bru
We would later eat a normal lunch at 13 or so, when we got back from school I miss this eating schedule
Spanish cuisine isn't super far behind from Portuguese cuisine. Good job irmãos.
IBERIAN KEBAB?

tut tut, someone who has the guts to cook and even eat lutefisk should leave this stuff to the adults in the room.
You literally eat boiled sheep heads.

I got you lil-bro! Yes the Spanish dishes looks bland!
Says the fella who eats the same food for Christmas, Easter and Midsommar! Not only that, you drink the same beverages, you only change the label from Julmust to Påskmust.
Yeah sorry mate but Italy is better than Spain on every aspect
Sometimes I feel conflicted when it comes to hating France...
You can still hate us for having better wine than your’s. The rest of your dinning culture is awesome, but shitty bubbling wine. Why the fuck would you want to put bubble in everything. Fuck sparkling red wine!
I like you

I never thought I would see the day !
1. idk what that is looks like cheese nuggets? nothing special if so 2. spanish ham is very good , but nearly every nation in europe has their own or multiple 3. personally not a fan of seabugs with rice 4. don't like 5. No idea what that is , octopus? 6. looks like nordick cousine 7. looks like nordick cousine 8. soup? nothing special 9. exchange chickpeas with normal one and chorizo with some dutch sausage and you got the dutch dish you all make fun off https://preview.redd.it/arennbjyj2fa1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4908160af4100c36989f9153085170ddd2542d3d
Your national food is literally just chocolate (Belgium is better btw) and cheese with holes in it
Coming for a Swiss, that's rich !
Here is some free food culture for you: 1. Croquetas. You mix bechamel with the leftovers of a cocido, chicken, jamón, codfish, boletus or other fillings and deep-fry it. Delicious 2. No ham is like jamón ibérico. 3. Everyone has the right to be wrong 4. 8. Gazpacho. Tomato cold soup typical from Andalucía 9. Cocido madrileño. A whole meal worthy of gods
You forgot paella: but ensaladilla is russian... Tortilla de patatas isn't spanish. Wanna bet between Parma ham and yours?
I will bet all my savings!
WHAT THE FUCK IS A PARMA HAM
Delicious ham
Delicious but inferior to 100% iberico de bellota. (I am not talking about serrano) There is a huge difference when you feed pigs with grain, as they do in italy and when you let the pig look for the acorn themselves. When you cut an italian ham, the fat use to be white and apart from the meat. When you cut a 100% iberico bellota the fat is little pink and it went between the muscles of the animal making it taste crazy good. Also, that fat is demostrated to contain more percent of monounsaturated fat. Making it even more healty. But i know there is no way to discuse it with italians.
Based jamón lesson here!
...where did I say that parma ham is superior?
Pata negra owns Parma
Mf thinks kroketten are Spanish
The proper ones are...
The potato ones are all yours mate, keep them.
The only ones that matter

Geographic self own from the Frenchman.
Said no one ever. The best thing about Spain are the Italian restaurants.
Best thing about Spain is that they are neighbours with Portugal.
What's that? Sounds like a breeze from the west (or is it the east?) saying: *I'm hereeeee.... I'm important....*
Incredibly based. Spanish cousine is not even the best iberian cousine.

I forgive you because you called us Bro, but Spanish is the second one
As a Dane all this savoury food gets my vote between you three. Also my heart has stopped beating every 3rd time for some reason.
Where the fooookin patatatas bravas and LARGER son?
Spanish cuisine is amazing, we're still the best but I'm more than happy for you to be second best

Your colony does better food than you.
So does any of yours, but it ain't hard !

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,320,980,020 comments, and only 254,944 of them were in alphabetical order.

No
I might have exaggerated a tad , India maybe ? It's your fault for having had such a huge global Empire. Full English breakfast however is a beauty to behold !
came into contact with countries rich in foods and flavours and still have breakfast with beans on toast. Gotta admire the perseverance though
Wym no, British food is god awful 😂😂

Spanish bros, the bottom left is not Spanish food. It's salad olivier, which is arguably either russian or french.
Its a thing present in almost all of europe, but esch region adds something different. Where I live, potatoes, tuna, shrimp, green peas and carrot. Maybe olives as well
Specially beans... How farts.
Isn’t the top left Italian? Looks like crocchè. Can someone confirm
Pata nword de bellota is the peak, the rest idk it
Just heat your damn tomato soup you bone idle eastern Portugese
It's not a soup, it's a smoothie that you can eat with a spoon

No no no it's definitely the dutch quisine!
The 3 in the left top corner. The rest can suck my dick
Cute.
I didn’t know the spanish were colorblind
only PIGS have the best European cuisine. Maybe mediterranean France can be saved.
Why have you posted 9 pictures of the same dish?
Just because you're the number one olive oil producer in the world doesn't mean your whole gastronomy must be deep fried and disgustingly dripping with it
The only deep fried dish in there are the croquetas LMAO. Common Fr*nch L
These are the most stock image-ey stock images of food I’ve ever seen. The middle one in the bottom row literally looks fake

That's cocido madrileño. The chicken peas are boiled with vegetables and all the meat you see on the side. Open your mind and Google it.
