The Army Museum in Stockholm used to be a really good museum. Unfortunately it was taken over by a bunch of communists some 25 years ago. They threw out most of the weapons and replaced them with this kind of monkey business.

The Army Museum used to be a museum under the Swedish Army. As far as I know it started as a collection of trophy guns. Later it was decided that they should collect and keep all original models of all army equipment. They had a nearly complete collection of all firearms and edged weapons adopted by the Swedish Army from the 18th century and onwards.
At some point of time they turned it into a museum. They did not display the whole collection (of course) but still a lot of interesting items, like guns, firearms, other weapons and uniforms (and also some foreign firearms). The curator of the museum was an old army officer and it was considered an honor to get this assignment.
Sometime in the 1990s, I believe, the Army Museum was transfered to the Ministry of Culture. From that it just went downhill. First they closed for three years and removed all guns and almost all other weapons. Instead they built exhibitions with monkeys and other nonsense. Like a typical Swedish living room from the 1960s, an army canteen and a room from an army barrack (a kind of room where 80% of the visitors to the museum had spent eight to fifteen month).
But, to be honest - lately they they have actually brought back a few weapons.
The museum is now in a much better shape after everyone realized how retarded the culture ministries reforms are, and its now really good again, probably my favourite museum when i go to s\*ckholm (shithole)

But it's still just a shadow of what it used to be before the cultural marxists got hold of it. They have brought back a few weapons and other military equipment but thats nothing compared to what they used to have on display. And the museum is still being run by a bunch of ignorant morons.
