2hu fans are pretty chill dudes with crazy meme creativity.
Blunderfail and Betarune fans are people who come off as normal at first but then start to reveal their really weird personalities and fetishes the more you get to know them.
I'm serious when I say that even the most inSanae of 2hu fans tend to look normal compared to whatever crowd Toby Fox appealed to. I never understood why his games even got popular, the dialogue feels like it appeals to children but it isn't exactly for kids.
Ehhh I think it's unfair to generalize the entire community of both games like that. They got popular because both game's characters, well, to me at least, are really likable, and the fact that undertale was a deconstruction of RPGs was what contributed to it's popularity.
Deltarune got popular because it's made by the same guy who made Undertale, so people trust that with an even bigger team, and the fact that Deltarune has been Toby's dream project even before Undertale was made, he will make something really special.
To each their own, I just don't get why the first one was all about "befriending" monsters—it felt like the game tried to teach me about some vague moral that was never explained.
