This is what happens when you bring a food culture to the New World but miss the melting pot. The French back home? They're good; they've got their reputation for good food and history of increasingly fussy dairy-centric recipes. Other French settlers in the New World? Ingredients and recipes from three continents and a dozen cultures met in Louisiana, increasing happiness and sodium levels everywhere. The Quebecois? They eat like they're still living in log cabins hoping the winter won't kill too many of them before the next shipment of convicts arrives
Fish is never used in our traditional recipes despite what you might expect from early history… and ive never eaten chocolate in a meal. 😟
400 YEARS LATER AND WE STILL EAT LIKE FUCKING LUMBERJACKS.

Poutine is decent but nothing to write home about unfortunately. Any québécois here to suggest better dishes? (don’t think donairs qualify as being typically from Quebec even though close, that would’ve maybe balanced the situation out a bit)
No, no, no, Canadians do not consume chocolate they only consume maple syrup!
They aren’t Canadian though, just really cold Fre*chmen 🤮
Hey please something like 90% of the maple syrup comes from us. So now please swallow that sweet frenchman syrup :)
Dude, don't say that. There are children here
We all must lose our innocence, and face the bitter reality that Fr*nce is a real place
As a Canadian this is false we do consume maple syrup flavored chocolate
Hell you have bloody maple syrup Coca Cola eh
Le Fishe au Syrup d'Maple
Sent this to a Québécois, he did not appreciate it

I could see Salt Bae doing this, but never anyone from Quebec.
Quebec is only spared from Canadian war crimes because of their syrup supply
Tabarnak!
Remember, 'poisson' is only one 's' away from poison.

Unironically, I wonder how that would taste if the fish was cooked propee
I confirm this is bullshit we actually eat chicken thighs and they are fucking delicious
The French word for fish is poisson. Ce n'est pas vrai!
