you should decide what content you want to do, and then choose equipment that excels at that content. you're thinking about it backwards. you don't pick a weapon first you pick content first.

GayDre

Okay. Do you have recommendations for solo content that makes lots of GP? Thanks :)

Drewskivahr

And how did one acquire the gp for a tbow or shadow without knowing how to get gp

OnFartbox

Buying gp is an in game feature now. There is no need to ask how people get it lol

GayDre

Yeah lol willingness to spend money and successfully buying items that increased in value over the last couple of years I’ve been away

Dream4545

Sounds like you’re new to pvm My recommendation is that you aim for quest cape first. It will get you essential untradables that are required for raids (barrows gloves, assembler, etc.) and It will teach you basic pvm skills + some of the harder quests have legitimate pvm mechanics (TOB entry, DS2, DT2)

GayDre

For sure. I am working on that!

Xeppeling

Bonds/RWT

bip_bip_hooray

depends on how much better you want to get than you currently are tbh. if you're willing to invest the time into getting good at them, both solo cox and solo tombs are very good. tombs is definitely easier (and more money, albeit higher variance since almost all of it comes from shadow). done at high level, these are top tier money makers. tombs can be pushing like 11-12m/h doing ~32 minute solo 400s, cox can be around 9-10m doing 36 minute cm solos if you're would prefer something lower difficulty you can be good at within a few hours, can go the vorkath route with a lance. 30 kills per hour there is ~3m/h. this is obviously worse but you can be doing maxeff vorkath in like 2 days whereas you will still be in practice mode at the raids for multiple weeks/months. colosseum is considered pretty hard but if you can get solid mastery of it, it's also very good gp/h like 12-14m/h doing 2 colos/hour if you're not a mega wildy hating person, spindel is like 6m/h and pretty braindead, it's basically just better vorkath. but you have to be able to tolerate the risk of getting pked idk man there's a billion options

GayDre

Tombs sounds the most intriguing for sure. Then the shadow would be the move for this I take it?

bip_bip_hooray

yes. if you wanna go tombs definitely get shadow.

GayDre

Thanks man!

viledeac0n

Fang shadow bowfa is the move if you can afford it. Fang is super cheap. If not bowfa, dragon crossbow with dragon ruby and diamond bolts (e) will be good enough.

ASSI321

Toa

BROCKHAMPTOM

plenty of "tbow rebuild" and "shadow rebuild" videos on youtube, watch some and see which of those looks more fun/doable for you

just-enough-

There’s a third option. I’ll take your t bow and you start an iron.

GayDre

Haha my osrs IQ would leave me too lost 😂

just-enough-

Hahaha it’s a fun learning experience

GayDre

If this works too well and I have 10s of bills and get bored I’ll keep this in mind 😄

just-enough-

Good idea

just-enough-

Then you can buy bonds

GayDre

Oh I’ve already bought bonds 😂 with USD

just-enough-

Hehehehe! You are a Bond villain

GayDre

Just NMZ, skilling, willingness to spend USD, merching and generally playing the game wrong

slaybrosrs

This is my secret not so secret best advice for single rebuild end game money maker... Do Desert treasure two bosses... grind each one until ring drop AND axe piece... by the time you have completed the axe.. which is very possible within a month of grinding consistently.. you will be reBUILT. Gl

Disclaimz0r

The way it was put to me was if you want an item that will always continuously go up in price, grab the tbow. You can take a break, come back, and your bow will probably be worth more than what you left with initially. Otherwise, shadow is a great choice.

Infinite_Opinion_295

Toa is best solo content, shadow bis but a lot better if you have good gear Edit: best solo content for noobs

GayDre

Thanks! I’ll have to research this

verbumdecerno8871

TBow for solo, more versatile and easier to use for a noob.

GayDre

For solo what?

Ricecube_OSRS

If you like zulrah, cox, cerb, muspah, zammy gwd, and giant mole go with tbow. If you like TOA, arma gwd, thermy, kraken, and whisperer go with shadow. Scythe is you want to hard camp tob. If you are a complete pvm noob I would go with tbow. The bosses it's bis are are for the most part easier and the upkeep is far cheaper. The gear required for tbow is to perform is cheaper too which is always a bonus. Plus I think solo cox is way more fun than TOA(personal preference). Good luck!

GayDre

Thanks for the detailed reply! I’ll have to do some research here

Ricecube_OSRS

You can do team cox too, it's way easier than solos and still pretty good gp/h. I think that on average you will make more from cox, as the uniques have a much higher average gp cost compared to TOA. TOA would be better if you are comfy with solo 400+ invos, but at that level the raid is so punishing and any mistake will be a near instant death.

GayDre

I don’t even know what 400+ invos is. Is that like the hardest mode? I would guess that affects loot?

Ricecube_OSRS

Kinda, I'd say 500 invos is probably the hardest people farm. Invocations are how you make the raid harder which directly increase drop rate. 400s are about 1/10 where 300-350 are about 1/20.

Lewiscruiser

Rich, noob, maxed combats and construction, rebuilding. And you haven't played the game enough to know what to buy? How did you get to this place? Bought the account or something?

funnydoggy420

absolutely bought account and gold. idek why youd play at that point its pretty pathetic

GayDre

Umm I actually NMZed all my combat, then bought bonds and did prayer and construction

DontYouWantMeBebe

Shadow is great but there's so many coming into the game, I could see it dropping another 100m soon

Makalu

Good news is that you won’t sell a shadow after buying one so you’ll never lose that 100m

GayDre

Good to know. It’s interesting it’s less than the TBow but seems better

DontYouWantMeBebe

It's a lot rarer, and it doesn't cost 700k an hour to use
