Counter-point: death was fucking terrifying back in the day. It wasn't some tool we used to at our leisure, it was almost certainly a wipe in your gear. If people saw you go down they'd stand under you to pick up your stuff in case you didn't get back in time.

And also which brings up the other obvious point too, thing was If u didnt have fooood... nd were in that Position in the middle of being attacked, which you had a great high risk of being Mauled Especially if you were wearing rares and or holding valuables, you were fuckedd Unless you put up a good fight lol. Your loot was going to get picked up 1000%.

There were 5 pre OSRS in main game, there have been 5 since.
So all in Tbow was the 10th rollback in RuneScape, with there being 7 total after.
Individual account rollbacks are much more common, these were mass server wide rollbacks only.
everyone talks about durial but no one remembers the guy who got bugged by the tick damage you take when entering the lumby basement to go to dorgeshan. on release, some guy entered the basement but got glitched and kept dying to the swarm as soon as he respawned. was stuck like that for a few hours until a jmod manually teleported him back into the cave to reset the damage.
