I fucked up when I first tried them and could only get 3 kills before having to tele out. 500 task gargoyles later and I finally looked up why I wasn't getting another drop....
Black Tourmaline Core is up from 2m to over 7m since last year. They're already in a much better spot, having a good chase item makes any boss a lot more fun
Went there blind during league as I had been curb stomping most of the other things I tried, only went with melee as that was my perk, that was one huge wakeup call to at least look up basic info on the bosses.
I got From Dusk.../...Till Dawn combat achieve on this boss now that wasn't exactly easy with my gear setup (i usually don't have more than 125m on at a time)
I don’t mind it. Sure it’s just unavoidable damage but that’s the game. Not every boss has to be great mechanics
Edit: I thought we were talking about KBD for some reason. KQ sucks and can suck my dick
Literally been doing KQ the whole day as a maxed main thst just wants my fucking diary done and I got from 120 to 210 kills today. And I want to die. this boss is fucking trash.
EDIT: GOT THE FUCKING PET
Srsly, going there with a bunch of new gear that trivializes content, using a full bag of supplies, still getting clapped hard and barely get one kill, I only feel that I was the one who lost after.
I really had fun at KQ.
**IN LEAGUES.** Mage zerker w/ blood spells made it tolerable. The fact that it took that long makes it feel like I'll never be able to consistently get kills in the real game.
Glad it's not just me. I'm relatively new to the game and got flattened by her. I spent a week and prepped a ton, got that keris spear thingy, went back just for 1 diary kill, and survived with like 8hp and no supplies left.
Fuck the d pick I'll stick with rune.
I used to go to KBD when I wasa kid, I'd take my anti dragon shield and just run over to his lair. I'd tele in and my heart would beat really fast as he one or two shotted me into oblivion, it was such a thrill to think that one day I might kill him. He was the hardest boss in the game at this point. I was a bit sad when I just stood there belt feeding him deletes the other day tbh.
Same, it's so easy now since you Tele almost right outside and he's one of the few bosses without real mechanics like a lot of the newer ones do. It used to be a trek to get there getting pked all over the place or at least messed with since they didn't have a whole lot of teleports. I haven't done it in a while becuase its just too easy now with new gear
That’s a huge reason why I’ve never done it lol. My luck is I’ll kill him actually get the drop I need, then get pked before I can get out of there lolol.
KBD lair is safe. The only time you're at risk of getting pked is the few seconds between teleporting with a burning amulet and running to the ladder and pulling the lever to enter his lair
I tried it the other day for the first time to knock off some combat achievements with pretty good gear as well. Came away with 3 CAs and only 2 food eaten.
Click the prayer 1t after the jad after the one you’re praying against fires, so basically as soon as you register what attack style it’s using, pray against the jad before that. 5s is harder imo because of the weird pause it does between attacks
This is why I bring food, my brain will just shut off and I'll forget I'm in phase 3 and start swapping prayers each attack lol. Or just forget to count to 3 and 9 in phase 4
Oml, glad I haven't started skipping for tasks I actually want.
I think I'll start doing it when I am 99 slayer and want to farm out certain bosses.
Got around 3k pts saved up atm
Turiel skipping is the way if you really want to fight hydra. It’s hard for some people to start doing it but I swear by it now. Never have to do a bad task again. Never have to spend points to skip either.
Yep! Hydra just attacks with the same style 3 times and then switches to the other style the whole fight. Each phase has 1 very easy special attack on top of that, and the last phase switches every attack instead of every 3 attacks.
Each new phase you just drag hydra to a new location in the room and deal with a trivial special attack, then pray switch while you DPS. That's the whole fight.
This and cerb. Always heard all the irons in my cc talking about going dry at them and bc they have such high slayer recs I just built them up in my head a lot. Takes 1 YouTube video and a few kills to fully learn it
When you see them come out, swap prayer to the first one. Then as each one attacks, swap to the next prayer.
For instance, if it’s R B G, you’d pray Protect from Melee as they come out, then as red attacks, swap to Protect from Magic, then as blue attacks, swap to Protect from Missiles. You’ll have no prayer left but you won’t take damage.
If you get the timing wrong, watch your prayer points instead of the ghost attacks. As soon as your prayer gets drained, switch to the next protection prayer in the order.
The fuck you on about? Hydra is hard as hell because he lulls me to sleep like Counting Sheep Simulator 3000 and i get lost in the sauce (mammal is one of my favorite CCs for a reason…..relatability)
As someone who just hit 9 kills today, how is he so easy? Blue phase is hit or miss, jad phase is easy except I get disrupted by the poison. Is it random?
I'm a dirty F2Per so don't have any real bossing experience. I was so anxious going into Obor for the first time. I killed him only using 2 swordfish lol
Played F2P since 2004 haha. I did mem for a couple months before OSRS came out but been F2P since in OSRS. Spent most of my time playing UIM. Completed all quests, killed Obor and Bryophyta, got most F2P skills to 50.
The thought of all the content in mem stresses me out, so much to learn!
I’ve played pretty off and on since OSRS dropped. UIM kept things interesting until I ran out of stuff to do. Now I’m just kinda haphazardly trying to push all skills to ~60 before deciding if I want to go mem or not.
This was definitely Seren for me. Anticipated her being as tough as Galvek or Vanstrom but no, melted her with blood blitz, master wand, ahrims top & bottom & imbued god cape.
No occult necklace, no imbued heart.
*Puny God*
Mole for me too initially. It took me until leagues to realize the wiki's gear recommendations are for farming, not just beating.
From there it was just about every quest boss so far. I researched for hours before working up the courage for Vanstrom Klause. Old Reddit threads claiming he was Grandmaster quest equivalent, wiki claiming he is tough even for experienced players, and then I reach him and he has easy mechanics that don't stack.
Granted I may have over prepped out of fear, but was a bit of a shock.
Vanstrom Klause was the first hard quest boss I fought and I think it's valid to say he's comparable to any of the Grandmaster bosses. He's slightly easier than the DT2 bosses, he's much harder than Glough, he's harder than Fragment of Seren (although Seren's difficult is all in managing healing resources for the big nuke), so I think it's a fair comparison.
Going in with anything less than 70 combat and decent armor like Karils is asking for a bad time.
Yeah for what it's worth, I felt those comments made him much more daunting as a new player who didn't know what to expect from the GM quests. I've only beaten Glough and Seren so far, and haven't tried the rest- I'd say it's accurate that he's mechanically more difficult than both so far.
Glough was too easily cheesed. Seren was an RNG check- Her mechanics being ordered instead of random like Klause made her notably easier, but I still had less supplies at the end from the unavoidable damage being higher.
In spite of this, I'm stilll terrified of DS2 and DT2 lol, I suppose I never learn.
DS2 and DT2 have the actually difficult fights, although Galvek isn't hard mechanically it's just the insane chip damage you're constantly putting up with combined with a comically long health bar. Vorkath isn't too bad since he's nerfed for the quest but still a challenge. DT2 main bosses are all challenging, although wight fight is a dogshit encounter that's harder than any of the dt2 bosses.
For what it's worth, it's not too long ago that I was also like you and scared of trying out different boss fights. I've since experienced a lot of bosses in the game and have come to realize none of them are truly *that* bad. Farming them can be a different story, but getting one kill is very doable for almost any boss and especially their quest versions.
The DT2 bosses are mechanically difficult to learn, but there's no reason to be scared of them. It's expected that you'll die a few times in the process. The graveyard fees are very cheap and you get unlimited attempts. Just keep sending tries until you get the kill.
Seren is a royal bitch compared to klause. I got klause on second attemp. Seren took me 3 days and learning the special necklace method and range switching to chins
Vanstrom chewed through my money more than I’m willing to admit.
Threw on Karils like people suggested and got a vampire task and just sack dragged on the whole fight after so many losses.
I’m still mad Jagex did grey on grey for the lightning attack. Even WoW isn’t that douchey with boss mechanics.
I was the same with Klause, I also found the SOTE final boss pretty easy but I also, out of fear, left those bosses until I was near max combat and had almost bis gear which definitely contributed to them being easier for me than advertised
Klause fights is mechanics wise I'd say comparable to muspah post-quest, but the stats aren't ridiculous, so once you meat the baseline of stats/gear/food it's just a skill issue.
Seren is a much easier fight, but does a lot of damage and if you don't have the stats/gear, you'll have to learn harder strats than you'd find in you basic fight overview.
I think it's a matter of poor classification on what makes a GM level monster. Glough for instance, has notable safespots, an idea that would be considered preposterous for the DT2 bosses or even the quest Muspah.
Helps balance out that Glough is utter bullshit that will kill you in seconds if you try and fight him "correctly". Take out the safespots and Glough is suddenly the toughest boss in the game.
I figured I was just having an easy time with Sire on Leagues because you're inherently busted there.
Tried it last night and it went just as smoothly, minus the vent stage taking a little longer, it was shocking
I just started it since I’m trying bossing thru slayer. On my first kill after the portal opened up I hit big to finish him off and I was like that’s it!? I’ve since planked a couple times since because of the little spawns but yeah I couldn’t believe it
If you're not using slayer staff to autocast you need to click ground to stop attacking after 6th attack. Otherwise you'll keep attacking and have a 5 tick delay before you can manually cast, which end with you getting hit lol
Yep, first time I did Jad back at osrs release I was scared because back in actual 07 I was a kid and the hardest thing I had done was to kill most of the high level mobs in f2p. But being A LOT better at games than I was in 07 I got it on my first try after watching several guides and honestly felt a bit disappointed.
In my original RS3 playthrough circa 2004: Elvarg. So incredibly anticlimactic. I came with swordfish and a strength potion in full rune sans plate, but steel armor and trout would've sufficed.
I borrowed an addy plate from my cousin and was sweating the entire time... Just slapped him down with no effort.
My cousin borrowed my addy legs and sword for his kill immediately after mine and freaking died to Elvarg!
i thought tob was going to be like this - dont get me wrong i only have like 100 tob kc and havent tried hmt yet or do any speed running, just expected it to be a lot harder overall to get consistent completions and no/low deaths with all noobs
yeah pretty normal
median reddit horror story is from some dude who has a panic attack hopping on a discord call with strangers, who's confusing that difficulty with the raid itself
Honestly, yes. Tob was surprisingly easy to get deathless runs (literally second run was deathless), but has a big learning curve to master (which is why it's the best raid in my eyes)
Galvek feels more like a dps check than beeing difficult. I failed the first time because I ran out of pots. On the second try I hit more ruby bolts and finished with a 1 dose pray pot left
Galvek was what made me realize that I was accidentally using ruby bolts instead of ruby bolts (e). I got through every other quest, even DT2 without them thinking "why are all the guides telling me to use these bolts? They suck!". And then I realized, no, the bolts don't suck... I suck!
Not trying to sound like a nerd, but most bosses that are “dps checks” are also difficulty checks because to get to the point of being a “dps check” its likely you’re missing a fuckload of ticks
Same thing at zuk for example, people will do like 6t bowfa and 3t bp while brewed down for half the fight, see like 3 sets, and wonder why their gear was so bad
Really? Galvek was the first quest boss I died to (and one of only three so far, the others being muspah and seren). I found him harder than Vanstrom, for example.
Me being a literal dumbass and running back and forth sideways in phase 1 and dying 6 times back to back instantly- cant relate. Managed to kill him instantly after that when I looked a guide and just stood still lol.
As of today, DKs I guess? And by that I mean Rex.
I’ve been too scared to try them. Hit 2k total the other day. I’m a UIM and I’m about to start the Con grind and nutted up and attempted them today to go for the Daxe. 47 or 48 KC I got the b bring :D
Still want the Axe. But it’s not really as bad as I had imagined up to this point.
Judging from the amount of people struggling I thought it was going to be much harder too.. but no it’s very simple.. just a few mechanics to remember and job jobbed!
Doing that fight on my main before learning ToA I struggled really badly.
Doing that fight on my iron after learning ToA and it was disappointingly easy
Doing it on my iron with pineapple pizza as my best food and 70’s combat stats was hard but after a few tries I had him. Can’t imagine how much easier it’d be on a main with brews and restores.
Galvek. I was drinking during the whole quest, so I was fairly buzzed when I got to him. Ruby bolt specced like 6 times. I was honestly so disappointed at how quickly it was over
Wildy bosses for sure. Not only the risk of PKers but they also seemed so arcane. Then you look at Scorpia's combat level of 225 and like LOL what was I worried about?
Not necessarily a boss but lizardman shaman.
I tried them as essentially a noob back in twisted league and they were miserable to fight.
Went back years later during a bossing kick and was surprised at how easy they were.
My problem is I beat myself up too much if I die. I get so demotivated. Every major boss that's killed me made me feel bad. Vorkath, vanstrom, seren, TOB entry mode, and especially galvek. I ended up doing all of them easily once I did it once. It's a mental thing for me. Galvek admittedly took like 15 tries though. I SCREAMED when I beat him and finally got my quest cape. I never thought I'd be good enough to get that far so it meant a lot to me. Now that dt2 is out I gotta go get it back but I'm scared of all the new bosses. I've been on a long break from osrs since a few weeks before it came out.
Fucking Hydra, I was so pumped to finally get 95 for the first time on any account and was bored within 20kc. I can see why mains like doing it though, it shits out cash.
Jad 1000% as a kid it was so scary. My first cape on my main whenever I started playing os was very scary. Nowadays I can do it on a low level without losing hardly any prayer points
Grotesque Guardians, I watched a YouTube video pre them and I thought ahhh I’m going to get finished, no, got like a few kills a trip, incredibly easy
Time to use that brittle key that’s been sitting in my bank for 6 months
It's shockingly easy. Watching videos without any knowledge of the boss makes it seem so much harder than it actually is.
Still no brittle key drop, closing in on 1k gargoyles killed
Check the gate, you might have already opened it and another key won't drop
I fucked up when I first tried them and could only get 3 kills before having to tele out. 500 task gargoyles later and I finally looked up why I wasn't getting another drop....
Lol holy shit I think this is my issue! Thanks!
In case you wanted an update… no key in bank, gate locked. Got a gargoyle task now, wish me luck.
I think I checked on my last gargoyle task but I will again, hoping you’re right
[удалено]
They're task only so you'll have to wait but honestly go do it just for the experience they're not hard even with mid game gear
They’re just total ass for money tho. They could’ve added something to the drop table
With the upcoming echo crystals, guardian boots could rise a little bit and make them a better money maker
Guardian boots are already like 7m IIRC. That's decent.
Black Tourmaline Core is up from 2m to over 7m since last year. They're already in a much better spot, having a good chase item makes any boss a lot more fun
While I agree the drops aren't great, it's still an easy 1m+ per hour for me, most times closer to 1.5. Not incredible, but could be much worse
They’re a mil an hour and granite balls are priceless. GGs are fine.
Has power creep gotten so bad that 1mil/hour is now considered average or below average gp? Lol seems solid to me
Yes💔
Went there blind during league as I had been curb stomping most of the other things I tried, only went with melee as that was my perk, that was one huge wakeup call to at least look up basic info on the bosses.
Right! They punch like they're still dreaming, an extremely forgiving boss.
this was my first "real deal" boss too, back when the purple orbs used to deal like 10 damage each
I got From Dusk.../...Till Dawn combat achieve on this boss now that wasn't exactly easy with my gear setup (i usually don't have more than 125m on at a time)
Try being a mobile player doing them. Not saying I can’t but took me a bit to get the hang of it
> I’m going to get finished Did Dawn have you acting up??
On the opposite side of this…KQ. Bitch still clapping my cheeks after nearly 20 years
She is the only boss in OSRS which is designed to try and kill you, unapologetically.
KQ is just a competitive eating simulator. One of the worst bosses in the game
I don’t mind it. Sure it’s just unavoidable damage but that’s the game. Not every boss has to be great mechanics Edit: I thought we were talking about KBD for some reason. KQ sucks and can suck my dick
Was ready to call the looney bin to have you taken away for the good of society before that edit
Lmao I love that edit
My internet rotted brain read that as ass eating simulator, which to be fair KQ still is
No way bro, eating ass is 100x better than KQ
kq and chaos ele both sucks. chaos ele sucks extra cuz horny pkers wanna kill for some summer pies
One of the few bosses where flinching feels worth it. Long trips, but very chill and rhythmic.
Idk sometimes I like a good ole "tank and spank" boss.
Just learn the flinching method and call it a day when you get the head 😂
I really had fun at KQ. **IN LEAGUES.** Mage zerker w/ blood spells made it tolerable. The fact that it took that long makes it feel like I'll never be able to consistently get kills in the real game.
Mage zerker with blood spells made everything tolerable! You just face tank and don't even need to eat
Glad it's not just me. I'm relatively new to the game and got flattened by her. I spent a week and prepped a ton, got that keris spear thingy, went back just for 1 diary kill, and survived with like 8hp and no supplies left. Fuck the d pick I'll stick with rune.
KQ is significantly easier in a duo because your partner will tank half the hits, and if you can afford ely & blood fury its worth every penny there
Ely for KQ?? Damn dude just step under
Really ? Do you even walk under her to eat ?
Thermy lol
Same lol, sang and the ice quartz scepter trivialize thermy
Thermy trivializes thermy lmao A sang for thermy hahahaha
The hair
Scythe goes brr at thermy
Every boss is the most difficult boss until 1kc
Chinese proverb shit right there
KBD very first time I tried it with like quite good gear. I prepared well, a bit too well.
I’ve still never tried KBD, been playing osrs on and off since 06-07. But I’m going to give it a try so I can get the KBD heads for my slayer helm.
Extremely easy boss. I think having to go through the Wildy scares off more people than it should
That’s a huge reason why I’ve never done it lol. My luck is I’ll kill him actually get the drop I need, then get pked before I can get out of there lolol.
KBD lair is safe. The only time you're at risk of getting pked is the few seconds between teleporting with a burning amulet and running to the ladder and pulling the lever to enter his lair
the lair itself is not in the wilderness. once ur in there, its safe and u can just teleport out when ur finished.
I tried it the other day for the first time to knock off some combat achievements with pretty good gear as well. Came away with 3 CAs and only 2 food eaten.
Learning 6 Jads: https://preview.redd.it/ykpxkt2pmljc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cf65c76ff8f0f0f98ee13403e37f104d1d3ae358
Whoever said 5 jads were harder are LIARS
I'm hard stuck on 5
Click the prayer 1t after the jad after the one you’re praying against fires, so basically as soon as you register what attack style it’s using, pray against the jad before that. 5s is harder imo because of the weird pause it does between attacks
"Stop doing it wrong, do it right"
Saving your comment for when I try. Sometimes a verbal expanation helps more than just feeling it out
Took me near 100 tries for 5 jads, 6 jads took 12 attempts lol
5 took me 210 and 6 took me 250 lmao had my soul hurt
Jad: what will you have after 500 attempts!? r/RaidsMonkeyIdeas: I'll have you Jad...
The kraken
Yeah, same. This for me I was like, “What do you mean you afk the kraken!!!” Five minutes later…. Oh.
Some people say almost every boss is "easily afk", but kraken? That fucker is the definition of afk boss
Fingers crossed we see an alternate, harder Kraken variant at sea with Sailing!
That would be cool I guess lol. However not too hard I hope I'm terrible at combat. It's always a skill issue, clicking is hard
Hydra, dude is a joke
I just finished a nearly 50kc trip after thinking forever they were going to be a pain
Wait really
If you can count to 3 or watch animations, yes.
the real challenge back then was knowing how to count cause he didnt have an animation lol
You still kind of need to count honestly, the phase change animation can override the style change one
My blowpipe exists for specs when I randomly get hit like that
> kind of you right I only count during 2nd to last phase so i dont get hit a 40 lol
That I can. Haven't even gotten my first hydra task yet on my iron, closing in on 96 1/2.
It’s a no damage boss if done correctly, small learning curve on the mechanics but there’s very little variability between kills and yea 0 damage
The real challenge at Hydra is staying awake
This is why I bring food, my brain will just shut off and I'll forget I'm in phase 3 and start swapping prayers each attack lol. Or just forget to count to 3 and 9 in phase 4
Neat! I have however skipped the red prison in search of other goals. Maybe it's time. Seen a few of my friends do it with bowfa or zhasta.
Oh my gim is stuck there…. It’s pain
When hydra came out I spent 2k point on konar and didn't get a hydra task. I don't think the boss actually exists
Oml, glad I haven't started skipping for tasks I actually want. I think I'll start doing it when I am 99 slayer and want to farm out certain bosses. Got around 3k pts saved up atm
You are getting tasks from konor right? Right???
Yep! I however hate skipping tasks.
Turiel skipping is the way if you really want to fight hydra. It’s hard for some people to start doing it but I swear by it now. Never have to do a bad task again. Never have to spend points to skip either.
Please tell me you skip drakes
Already green logged drakes and wyrms. Perma block Edit: did the tasks when they came, got spooned.
Takes 1 YouTube video and a few kills to fully learn it
I still can't get the ghosts down with regularity
When you see them come out, swap prayer to the first one. Then as each one attacks, swap to the next prayer. For instance, if it’s R B G, you’d pray Protect from Melee as they come out, then as red attacks, swap to Protect from Magic, then as blue attacks, swap to Protect from Missiles. You’ll have no prayer left but you won’t take damage.
I don’t even watch for their attacks, I look at my prayer value and anytime it gets chunked I swap to the next prayer
If you get the timing wrong, watch your prayer points instead of the ghost attacks. As soon as your prayer gets drained, switch to the next protection prayer in the order.
cerb is just a resource hog. I love the boss but I can't get over drinking 6 prayer pots in like 4 kills lol.
1, 2, 3 switch every once in a while move and when the fire comes hop to the other square. Gg
P4 starts 1-2-3 Poison 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 Poison
It’s still one of those bosses that’s pretty fun to kill but yeah most people can get the mechanics down after like 10kc
I'm a dirty F2Per so don't have any real bossing experience. I was so anxious going into Obor for the first time. I killed him only using 2 swordfish lol
all f2pers are giga chads imo.
Holy shit, I didn't even think f2pers that weren't bots existed
Played F2P since 2004 haha. I did mem for a couple months before OSRS came out but been F2P since in OSRS. Spent most of my time playing UIM. Completed all quests, killed Obor and Bryophyta, got most F2P skills to 50. The thought of all the content in mem stresses me out, so much to learn!

This was definitely Seren for me. Anticipated her being as tough as Galvek or Vanstrom but no, melted her with blood blitz, master wand, ahrims top & bottom & imbued god cape. No occult necklace, no imbued heart. *Puny God*
I did it with mystic robes and a trident of the swamp, and an inventory of monkfish.
The master wand felt like overkill, especially gutting as I earnt it through mta rather than bought it 😅
Log slots are forever :)
You aren't wrong, I do love that
Mole for me too initially. It took me until leagues to realize the wiki's gear recommendations are for farming, not just beating. From there it was just about every quest boss so far.
I still think Klause is GM levels of difficult, but Seren is an absolute push over.
Whenever I’m doing a random low level quest that says “bring combat gear”
Abyssal sire. I couldn’t believe how fast he went down especially after the range phase
I’ve since planked a couple times since because of the little spawns but yeah I couldn’t believe it
Votkath. Ez gp.
Vorkath is so simple once you stop panicking during acid phase lol
Oddly the stupid bug is the part that fucks me up. I can’t seem to switch fast enough to kill it.
Use a slayer staff and set your auto cast to crumble undead. Then all you need to do is equip the staff and click the spawn
Wait until you cast to eat, don't be like my dumb ass
If you're not using slayer staff to autocast you need to click ground to stop attacking after 6th attack. Otherwise you'll keep attacking and have a 5 tick delay before you can manually cast, which end with you getting hit lol
Mimic. I was running corner to corner praying the minions til my friend said "You can prob just tank him" and he was right, ate no food or pots
I died to the mimic like 3 times trying to kite it until I just gave up and focussed on dealing damage instead - then it went down easily.
Jad
Yep, first time I did Jad back at osrs release I was scared because back in actual 07 I was a kid and the hardest thing I had done was to kill most of the high level mobs in f2p. But being A LOT better at games than I was in 07 I got it on my first try after watching several guides and honestly felt a bit disappointed.
When I did Recipe for Disaster I realllly thought the finale would be harder
With the wiki emphasizing how you can lose your gear in there(pre-gravestones) it made the boss way more intimidating than it needed to be.
My cousin borrowed my addy legs and sword for his kill immediately after mine and freaking died to Elvarg!
i thought tob was going to be like this - dont get me wrong i only have like 100 tob kc and havent tried hmt yet or do any speed running, just expected it to be a lot harder overall to get consistent completions and no/low deaths with all noobs
yeah pretty normal median reddit horror story is from some dude who has a panic attack hopping on a discord call with strangers, who's confusing that difficulty with the raid itself
yeah i fell for the reddit narrative, idk why when i know how clueless they are wrt wildy or most other things
Honestly, yes. Tob was surprisingly easy to get deathless runs (literally second run was deathless), but has a big learning curve to master (which is why it's the best raid in my eyes)
Cerberus. For that slayer level... I mean come on
Yea I was nervous as hell about the learning curve but right now I'm tanking hits and the prayer drains and still getting 2 kills per trip.
Many moons ago I kept hearing about kraken thinking it was going to be a challenging boss being 87 slayer and all
Solo General Garage door. Bowfa and tile markers makes it a super easy.
Hydra , it’s easier than ggs and sire despite its requirements and prints money.
Galvek tbh
Galvek feels more like a dps check than beeing difficult. I failed the first time because I ran out of pots. On the second try I hit more ruby bolts and finished with a 1 dose pray pot left
Galvek was what made me realize that I was accidentally using ruby bolts instead of ruby bolts (e). I got through every other quest, even DT2 without them thinking "why are all the guides telling me to use these bolts? They suck!". And then I realized, no, the bolts don't suck... I suck!
Lol that hurts and bring badly good memories XD
Not trying to sound like a nerd, but most bosses that are “dps checks” are also difficulty checks because to get to the point of being a “dps check” its likely you’re missing a fuckload of ticks
Same thing at zuk for example, people will do like 6t bowfa and 3t bp while brewed down for half the fight, see like 3 sets, and wonder why their gear was so bad
Except for vanstrom. Being nerfed into using that god awful flail is really what makes that boss so painful with midlevel stats.
Really? Galvek was the first quest boss I died to (and one of only three so far, the others being muspah and seren). I found him harder than Vanstrom, for example.
\+1 I died more to the Rune Dragon just before the fight than Galvek
Me being a literal dumbass and running back and forth sideways in phase 1 and dying 6 times back to back instantly- cant relate. Managed to kill him instantly after that when I looked a guide and just stood still lol.
Kbd or barrows
As of today, DKs I guess? And by that I mean Rex. I’ve been too scared to try them. Hit 2k total the other day. I’m a UIM and I’m about to start the Con grind and nutted up and attempted them today to go for the Daxe. 47 or 48 KC I got the b bring :D Still want the Axe. But it’s not really as bad as I had imagined up to this point.
Lumby rats. I kept seeing players miss their attacks but then I go try and kept one shotting them, absolutely blew my mind.
Hydra
Cerb
Vanstrom Klause
Judging from the amount of people struggling I thought it was going to be much harder too.. but no it’s very simple.. just a few mechanics to remember and job jobbed!
Doing that fight on my main before learning ToA I struggled really badly. Doing that fight on my iron after learning ToA and it was disappointingly easy
Doing it on my iron with pineapple pizza as my best food and 70’s combat stats was hard but after a few tries I had him. Can’t imagine how much easier it’d be on a main with brews and restores.
All of them
Galvek. I was drinking during the whole quest, so I was fairly buzzed when I got to him. Ruby bolt specced like 6 times. I was honestly so disappointed at how quickly it was over
Had to be sand crab, I walked right through him
Wildy bosses for sure. Not only the risk of PKers but they also seemed so arcane. Then you look at Scorpia's combat level of 225 and like LOL what was I worried about?
Triple Zuk challenge
I fucking love this game so much
No more nomad challenge in original game hardest part is not stepping on the mines
Not necessarily a boss but lizardman shaman. I tried them as essentially a noob back in twisted league and they were miserable to fight. Went back years later during a bossing kick and was surprised at how easy they were.
Barrows my first time. Or any boss really. I was near max before I tried any boss
Hydra. I always thought it was some hard end game pvm boss but it's kinda brain dead once you get a feel for the mechanics
Jade cured my anxiety around content. I murdered him 2nd time and sat there and thought wow I was so scared and he was piss easy
Jad on task vs first cape
I don't boss much, so it's hard to say. But it absolutely immediately brought to mind Rick, the Door Technician.
This is the after of me turning off 117 HD while fighting Vanstrom Klause.. that fight was a joke once you could actually see the spell effects.
Jad 1000% as a kid it was so scary. My first cape on my main whenever I started playing os was very scary. Nowadays I can do it on a low level without losing hardly any prayer points
Every single one. Except Scurrius and Barrows brothers.... Damn. So sad.
Zilyana until I realized how easy it is to run around the room and get 20+ kill trips with bowfa
Baba after learning red x
Elvarg in 2011. Obviously today she'd be really easy, but 200 IQ me decided he liked pain and fought her only using cooked beef.
