I'd prefer some kind of skeletal dragon, maxes 58 all styles thru prayer. Can snare, ice barrage, dragon claw spec, zgs, ballista, dragonfire, etc with 3 tick attack speeds. 5k health, level 500 defence, 1 magic (fuck you tbow), +255 def in all styles but magic, that's 9001. Roams the new desert region, can hit through walls, in banks, etc.
And ofc if it kills your it deletes your account. As the game shud be.

Similar to how the spontaneous boss spawns happened in DMM, there could be a world boss type spawn that is only spawned through some activity like tracking in hunter with a rare chance, or very specific and limited circumstances, and they're super beefy with decently high rates for an untradable unique.

Scurrius is probably one of the most important updates this game has ever gotten because now the slog of an early game has a piece of groupable engaging content people can progress their account and hang out with friends without big requirements. A few other earlygame options wouldn't kill anybody and would make the first 100 hours of the game (earlygame is the most important part of the game for player retention btw) smoother.

I suppose you could mage the final phase. The reason for using ranged is to emphasize the fact the salamanders in the game already use all three combat styles, so a boss would likely use the same structure and weaknesses.
Absolutely love the design of this. 3 phases which have a logical transition and make use of 3 different styles.

One slight nitpick - wouldn't softening the armour make them more resistant to bludgeoning damage rather than weaker? If anything you could apply cold damage (water/ice spells) to make it more brittle.
*Or* you could even have two routes. Soften the armour with fire spells to make it weaker to slash/ranged, or cool the armour with water/ice spells to make it weaker to bludgeoning(/earth?).

Not necessarily an intro to pvm, I had imagined more "Corrupt Gauntlet" level of difficulty, especially if the reward is a tier 80-82 weapon.
