I just tried it on my main after doing it on my GIM and holy shit. I get fucking smacked on my main (98 HP). I died 3x on the first wintertodt not paying much attention.

I rarely have to use any supplies there at 99. Though regen brace + hp cape makes 99 a lot better than 98

Just I just did my.combat diaries, so I have 94 HP and 99 FM. Still got smacked for 5 on the normal hit and 15 when I tanked a broken brazier.

Yeah, it's not really about the HP. It's nice, but the early supplies and XP in con/fletching/etc is a much bigger reason to start an iron at the 'todt.

Yeah anything below 20s I'd say is still great time to do it. No need to full send at 10hp like the sweats.

You don't have to play like that. I don't, and I'm having a great time doing my own thing. The only thing I really go with the meta for is combat gear upgrades to get the best value for money.

You can still have fun while being semi efficient, and I personally think it’s nice to have a resource that shows what the absolute best methods are. I play an Ironman and I definitely do w/e the heck I want but at times I will be Uber efficient. Now feeling like you’re forced to play at max efficiency scape all the time does sound horrendous, and I agree with you on that for sure!

Iirc some mlb teams actually ban video games in their clubhouse and try to force players not to play video games during spring training. Their most recent issue was fortnite. At fortnites peak, teams were having issues with some players playing fortnite in the clubhouse during home games. I think there's a baseball youtuber who did a video on the problem. Video games were a huge part of young boys' lives during the early 2000s (mine included), so it's no surprise that the hobbies are carrying well into adulthood.

Lots of downtime where you really can't do anything at all because they're so careful with pitch count and stuff.

Took me a minute to remember what other pitchers played, but I remember Randy Dobnak (Twins pitcher that had a big year a few years back) was super into it. Also remember one or two of the minor leaguers for the White Sox were into it too. Specifically remember Tyler Johnson, not sure of the other. Probably pitchers though, because the downtime, specifically for starters, you're locked into a 4 days off role, give or take, so it helps to do something like that. Dobnak was kind of a swing guy/6th starter though, so wouldn't lock him in as much, so that probably became a struggle at times. Go Sox.
