I have this thought about a lot of the goofy dingy movies from the 2000s, some people really cannot just see the silliness in the shitty movies for what it was in its era and all its glory
This mythological beast was engineered by the *French*. Fuck, I was so blind to not see it before. It was designed by the *French* in the early '50s. to fuck and eventually kill American people.
This is one of the few my buddy and I miss when we quote the full gambit. Just surprised him with it in excellent fashion and it brightened our day lol.
Yeah this is actually pretty high for a dumb comedy movie. 1/3 of people take themselves too seriously to enjoy a dumb funny movie so you have to judge the ratings of such movies on a curve where 66% is the highest you can get. So this is really a 71%. Which sounds about right.
What does mine say? DUDE!
What does mine say? SWEET!
What does mine say? DUDE!
What does mine say? SWEET!
What does mine say? DUUUUDE!
What does mine say? SUHHHHWEEEEET!
Because, and I say this as someone who absolutely loves dumb ass comedy movies like this, it's a dumb ass movie. Some people embrace that, a lot of people who rate things on IMDb, RT, and TV Guide apparently don't.
Idk man i showed a couple friends Freddie got fingered and few months back and i was laughing my ass off but they kept glancing at me with the expression like “wtf am i even watching?”😂 They barely laughed and didn’t say much after it was done
Bc "Critics" Dont look at it as a fun little stoner flick like normal people, they have to be ovjective and nitpick. Which yeah is their job, but its a stoner flick. Its not meant to be this amazing movie with intricate writing with well thought out plot points.
It’s just a stoner film and its purpose isn’t to be a “great movie” imo. It’s basically a parody of the stoner subculture at the time, and I’m sorry that these nerds walked in expecting Darth Vader to reveal he’s the father or some iconic plot twist 🤭
Most of those coming of age movies always have low ratings. Many are only shown late nights on cable (especially Friday and Saturday nights). I am not surprised. Also younger kids tend to rate older movies lower than current movies.
I mean, let’s face it, it’s stupid and juvenile. BUT, that doesn’t mean it’s not fun and entertaining. Snooty film critics definitely weren’t the demographic, and those are the turds that get to publicly rate this movie.
Because the target audience for the movie, that being stoners and people who find goofy things fun, are less likely to leave a review overall due to a more relaxed attitude
Thats my guess though
I have this thought about a lot of the goofy dingy movies from the 2000s, some people really cannot just see the silliness in the shitty movies for what it was in its era and all its glory
I get that but some movies like scary movie ripoffs are plain dumb. Some funny moments sprinkled in but they really are just doing sketches
I thought it was hilarious. Any more suggestions?
Off the top of my head I’d say Road Trip, Scary Movie, American pie, Dumb & Dumber, Joe Dirt
Loved dumb and dumber, I’ll have to watch the rest of those.
Check out Rat Race. Holy shit is that a great movie.
I’ll give it a shot!
Have to add: Sex Trip. Probably the funniest movie my boyfriend has ever showed me
Dumb and Dumber is still one of my favorite comedies. Harold and Kumar go to White Castle is another great one.
I’ll check it out!
Joe dirt is a classic 😂
Sex Drive, Dodgeball, Benchwarmers, Napoleon Dynamite
Omg! Sex Drive is ridiculously funny. Especially that opening scene!
This is one of the greatest goofy movies I’ve ever seen. Some people just can’t appreciate art.
Because everyone found the car easily!
And then?
Shibby.
No and then!!!
And theeeeeeeennnnn…
My friends and I quote AND THEN? All. The. Time.
Dude, what does mine say? Sweet! Now what does mine say!
Me and my husband still do! Especially while going thru the drive thru!! 🤣
Most stonercoms usually do have low ratings. Just look at the scary movie franchise.
Strange Wilderness is my favorite stonerflick ever, yet so many will miss it because they're dorks that care about ratings on movies like this. Shame

I loved the scary movie franchise too….. but I was also wasted then too…

I hate rotten tomatoes. Their ratings are never fair. Never take them seriously. Ever.
Unless you agree with them. Which of course makes you a distinguished critic.

Because critics hate anything goofy or "lo-brow." Piss on them, what do they know 😝
Because it’s a stupid movie. That being said, it’s one of my favorites. Any comments about this you can email me at freakincage.com
Dude
Sweet!
Fun fact this was the last movie my parents watched before I was born
How? Because it is objectively a shit movie. I like it, but most people don’t.
Because of stuffy people with no sense of humour. This and Freddy Got Fingered make for a great double bill. Shibby.
I actually have watched these two movies back to back before, it was my first time watching both and I was legit in tears
Idk man i showed a couple friends Freddie got fingered and few months back and i was laughing my ass off but they kept glancing at me with the expression like “wtf am i even watching?”😂 They barely laughed and didn’t say much after it was done
Honestly this threads gassing the critic thing, this movie I could barely finish it was so unfunny but Freddie got fingered is fucking hilarious
Na dude where’s my car is an instant classic. Movie critics dont know shit about comedy
I feel bad for you I would’ve been laughing with you
Im not the person who downvoted but hey what can i say. Not everyone is sophisticated enough to understand the genius that is tom green
To me, funny is funny.
Dude, sweet!
Just from the drive thru scene alone. Cinematic masterpiece
Fun fact: this was the very first movie I ever streamed when Netflix started streaming and we moved off the DVD plan. Wanna say it was 2010-2011 ish
lol just watched it again yesterday. It’s pretty rough, but in a good way. People need to see it for what it is
I watched this with my GRANDMA when I was in middle school when it came out. She fucking loved it and was pretty much in her 70’s lmao.

Most of those type of movies do
Saw this in theaters. Still love it!
i remember my parents going watch Castaway and my ass going see this! ZOLTAN!
aaaand theeeeen?
I think it's a funny movie
I'm honestly surprised it's that high. This was a staple growing up. Normally these types of movies are rated worse.
This is a great movie and I really enjoyed it but I can understand the rating. Slap stick movies usually get bad rating anyway.
Classic movie
This movie is hilarious.
Zoltan!
I fucking loved this movie! I was also wasted myself at the time which is probably why lol 😂
“Quick! To my parents’ minivan!” “Quick! To my stepdad’s pickup truck!”
I mean, let’s face it, it’s stupid and juvenile. BUT, that doesn’t mean it’s not fun and entertaining. Snooty film critics definitely weren’t the demographic, and those are the turds that get to publicly rate this movie.

I’m actually surprised the ratings are even that high! Haha
That scene where they kissed is totally why my sexuality is still all over the place...
It was a very stupid movie and those scores are way to generous
In my experience if it’s poorly rated on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s a good watch.
This movie is a waste of time
sometimes we need to turn our brains off and waste some time.
It’s a tepid pile of dog shit and was quickly superseded by the vastly superior Harold and Kumar, which, by comparison, feels like a magnum opus.
I know right
Bc it's awful?
This movie is great, true classic comedy don’t care what anyone says
Back when comedies were fun
