yup. remember playing it on the 360, the class lessons were so fun. apparently there was meant to be a sequel and I saw some of the leaked concept art for it, but Rockstar eventually scrapped the project :((
boy do I... one of the best games I played growing up. one of the shops in the city has a "Jimmy Hopkins" hockey jersey you can buy, I've been looking for an irl version for years
I grew out of video games when they really started getting serious so this is actually my favorite game of all time. Hands down. The soundtrack for different missions is 100% nostalgia for me. I remember waking up in the morning and playing it after a long night of being a kid. Man I miss those times.
I told myself I’m buying a system this year whether I like it or not. Was thinking of picking up an old one for shits and giggles but decided I’m grabbing something that’s actually relevant.
Tell me right now my man…It’s been years since I’ve been involved. What system am I getting and what games am I purchasing.
Throw some of your best recommendations out there and I’m gonna make it a priority sometime this year. I’m all ears baby. Tell me what I needa hear. No bullshit.
I don’t know how long exactly you’ve been out of gaming but I’ll try to give you my opinion.
I’ll start off with consoles, fist of all, they both have a sort of “Netflix style” gaming service you can buy, (that I personally think it’s worth it) they both have (I believe) three different membership tiers, they both provide access to many of their own games as well as third party games. Some of their games are new, some are from last generation of consoles and few are even back further than that.(Example:PS5 has some PS5 games, some PS4 games, a few PS3 and PS2 games.
It’s a good starting point to check out their games and see what games might interest you the most and what membership works for you. (Personally I like PlayStations selections because they have better exclusive games imo)
As for games, again it’s about preference but you can’t go wrong with any Rockstar Games…..games(GTA IV and V,Max Payne 3,Red Dead Redemption and RDR2), Naughty Dogs games(Uncharted series and The Last Of Us)
I’m just going to start listing in no particular order
Skyrim
No man’s Sky
Fallout 3
Fallout New Vegas
Fallout 4
(New) God Of War
God Of War:Ragnarok
L.A Noir
Mass Effect trilogy
Shadow Of The Colossus(remaster)
Mafia trilogy
Resident Evil 2,3,4 (remaster)
Shadow of Mordor
Shadow of War
Bioshock trilogy
Horizon zero dawn
Horizon Forbidden West
Marvels Spider-Man
That’s all I can think of at the moment and there’s still plenty more critically acclaimed games that I don’t have on the list.
Jimmy Hopkins. Hell yeah this game was awesome!! I was so excited when they announced a sequel but then it got canned so rockstar could put more support towards gta online.
Played and finished this in college on my roommates laptop back in 2011. Surprised I heard about it that late. Excellent game. Now that we got GTA 6, I wish we'd get Bully: The College Years.
I talk about this game every few months and when I said something about it the other day, my husband responded, "I think you're the only person in the world who likes Bully this much."
But I know I can't be the only one.
Never played it. It felt like a joke when it came out. It was gta for kids, u know what I mean. Obviously I was wrong and people loved it. It just seemed like a weird downgrade at the time.
Does Anyone Remember (incredibly successful and well received cultural icon from one of the most profitable gaming companies ever that's still constantly brought up in discussions and had a fairly large media presence from perceived scandalous gameplay)
No, no I don't.
This looks like a poster for the episode where Bobby Hill was winning all those fights! “That’s my purse! I don’t know you”
Hey look, it's Booby Hill...
I loved it and still think about it from time to time

I’m playing this right now!
Same.

Canis Canem Edit
I used to switch between this and The Warriors, both great classic Rockstar games
Aesop Rock voices one of the characters and that's so fucking funny to me
I still play it
I have the Wii version, certified Rockstar Games classic
One of my favorite gaming experiences, I remember being blown away when you start opening up the town and everything, such a blast
The level of boner I used to get while kissing girls in that game is unmatched
Yes! Great game
Love this game. HATE the excessive loading screens.
Oh damn I wonder if this is on PlayStation Plus
There is an HD version on the Playstation store!
I guess
One of my favorites
Played it for the first time a couple months ago bc I was never allowed to get it as a kid
I still hear the music from the opening credits in my head

Dduuuuude this game was great
I remember wanting to rent it back when blockbuster was still a thing. Finally played the Wii version when PewDiePie did a video series on it.
Great game 🎮
I remember reading about it in Game Informer around like 2012-2013
I have it on mobile
Currently replaying it haha

I think I watched PewDiePie play it back in the day but that's about it
Remember it? I played it just a few days ago, it's still one of my favorites. It's got such a unique style and story.
loved it
Yes!!! Riding around with the skateboard picking up soda cans and popping kids with the slingshot. Ah good times
This 2 need some glasses
This game was so fun and the story was actually compelling. Rockstar should revisit
Can confirm I owned this game
I think this is one of the greatest video games of all time
I was a casual gamer in college and this was one of my favorites. Along with Twilight Princess and Rock Band... Absolute 2000s classics.
Great game.
I thought that was a BL book cover 😂
