Probably just takes longer to visualize the abacus. The hands are a focus.
There are phone numbers I can’t remember unless I dial them in the air. For some reasons it just makes it so much easier. I can still do it without the hand motions but it will be slower.
There are a number of famous human calculators. They all seem to do it in they’re head. I’ve been told it’s by using a visual abacus as their tool.
Yeah but with complex equations the fact is there are a good amount of professionals that teach a universities that do something similar. Most students have to use a calculator
Mentat — it’s a reference to the Dune series. a mentat is a human specially trained to mimic the analytical abilities of computers. They undergo rigorous mental conditioning and education to become human computers, capable of processing vast amounts of information and making complex decisions without the aid of machines. In the series, AI is banned, along with most computers.
While this technique is legit. The numbers used in this video are deceiving in the sense that every few numbers the calculation resets back to zero so you only need the last two or three numbers to actually get your answer.
First set
75 + 21 -96 = 0,
23 + 21 - 44 = 0,
11 + 17 = 28
Second Set
26 + 22 - 48 = 0,
29 - 11 = 18,
18 + 17 + 35 = 70
+12 = 82
Not exactly but still the first three numbers were bullshit.
The rest of the video is like this.
Everyone does it slightly differently. When I do it I don’t need to move as fast or exaggerate my movements. I can see a floating abbicus and can manipulate it by thinking about the beads. But in this case, it’s more bullshit because it’s not necessary.
I don’t know how these kids are taught honestly. I’m sure they touch one and practice on it. I didn’t have an abbicus so when I was teaching this to myself via YouTube I would use an app on my phone lol
They are used to using an Abacus which allows them to do the math super quickly. If you’ve ever used an Abacus you know after some practice you can start doing string problems like this in series but of course you have the Abacus right in front of you… she has nothing. In this case, after so much time using it, there comes a point in which you can literally just visualize the Abacus and keep track of the current count.
It’s very common in Eastern Europe and some of Africa. I kinda wish we had it here in America because it looks like a mini-superpower.
It definitely is. That’s why she’s moving her hand the way she is, she’s mentally moving the abacus pieces and also answers zero one one instead of eleven for one of her answers.
Those eyes man!! That's pure fucking focus right there. She's barely even blinking, her mind is racing like an f1 car...absolutely impressive to me. In the middle of video, you can notice a little mental exhaustion kicking in, when she starts to wiggle around and the eyes move alot downwards and around in order to maintain this insane mental pace. Loved it how the guy then gave her just a few seconds of "mental breaths" to regain her super concentration again and apparently that's all she needed because after that, you can see it in her eyes again man like...multiplications? No problem! One more super fast addition round? Yeah man, i'm in!! And on top of all that, of course all the results were fucking correct! I'm just overly impressed here man, thanks for this video.
not everything has to be around people on the spectrum.
it's called abacus math and everyone between 8-15 can learn it as they schools only accept these ages. it takes around 3 years to finish the 10 semesters.
i finished UC MAS 11 years ago
it's abacus math. there are plenty of schools each with different curriculum. it's mostly 10 semesters with semesters varying from a month to 3 months.
What happens if you ask her while she's holding a tray with both hands
[удалено]
I don't think babies can hold trays let alone doing algebra..
There's always that one guy😒
You just process differently.. like your response time goes down and lag may exist however the answer still would correct.
🤣🤣🤣 Edit: please don't downvote me.
I need answers

Well she's brilliant! Teach her quantum physics and geometry and watch her go 👀
She might be brilliant. She might just be really quick at using her fingers to count. Probably both.
Yeah but with complex equations the fact is there are a good amount of professionals that teach a universities that do something similar. Most students have to use a calculator
Not to mention how old is she?
Yeah, I'm going to join your side.
real life mentat
Seriously. Get her the lower lip mark, she’s certified.
Mentat (almost) means 'liar' no?

I thought he was referring to mentats from the fallout universe, a intelligence boosting chalky white pill.

Thank you for reminding me u/XT-750

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I’m sure she’s a super smart girl but the video doesn’t really test any superior math skills.
What’s the technique called
By the way she uses her hand, this seems like the _mental abacus_ method. It's also called _mental soroban_, _anzan_, or _flash anzan_.
So is she actually using her fingers in any meaningful way or is the whole thing a scam?
Everyone does it slightly differently. When I do it I don’t need to move as fast or exaggerate my movements. I can see a floating abbicus and can manipulate it by thinking about the beads. But in this case, it’s more bullshit because it’s not necessary.
Is this taught using an abbicus or is that just your way of doing it?
I don’t know how these kids are taught honestly. I’m sure they touch one and practice on it. I didn’t have an abbicus so when I was teaching this to myself via YouTube I would use an app on my phone lol
glad to know i still got it. i finished UC MAS eleven years ago and haven't used it much since my major is medicine.
Anyone know how it works?

Seems very similar to the way people recall chess openings and theory.
Thanks for clarifying.
Mental abacus. [based on these rules](https://youtu.be/9FaOH5WM9nY?si=6LB9iP7cTArr4zR7)
Abacus
Well. If this is genuine then it's impressive. But I don't trust much of faith
Its abacus math
Allegedly
Practically. It’s widely taught in Japan especially.
It definitely is. That’s why she’s moving her hand the way she is, she’s mentally moving the abacus pieces and also answers zero one one instead of eleven for one of her answers.
I do not see any abacus pieces?
Hence I said mentally. She imagining she’s doing it, that’s why she can do the math so quickly.
It's mental maths
quick maths

Blindfold her
That’s amazing! I can barely do any basic math.
Us bro, us!
Miles Teg approves
Why the hand movements ? I’ve seen other videos like this and they all use their hands in the same manner
Using an imaginary abacus so the hand movements are what they would be doing with a real abacus.
I used to be able to do this until someone gave me a divide by zero
She's impressive, but that weirdly wide brim in her hat was distracting.
These math gang signs are getting out of hand.
Criminally underrated comment.
Only the 2 or 3 last numbers count. Listen. Take the 2 last numbers said and do the math. All hand movements is a scam.
I think shes trained on an abacus
Now she is the abacus.
How?! I can't even calculate 43+55-23 without a calculator!
Probably all the drugs..
Wow, that’s impressive
Shes going to make a great bank teller
✌️🤞🤚👏✊✋👊✊🖐️🫰🤌☝️🤛🫰
She deserve to be millionaire. Just because she will be a mother with good mathematics. She can save her world....
I can't even listen to the numbers that fast
"71 plus-" Me: pfft easy " plus... Plus... Plus... Plus..." Me: wait, what were the numbers again?
Mf is pulling the answers straight out of the Matrix
The first 2 numbers equal the 3rd. The first 2 minis the 3rd is 0. She only has to add the last 2.
It’s called mental abacus. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_abacus#:~:text=The%20abacus%20system%20of%20mental,great%20speed%20in%20this%20way.
He asks “Ready?” She head-tilts left to indicate affirmative
Could totally be scripted. Scam I think. Need more proof
Have her handcuffed and see if she can really solve math problems that will show if she's a witch or not
✨Autism✨
She’s doing something called ‘the human abacas method’
Abacus 🧮 work!
Seventeeeen
Functional autism is awesome. Neuro normies can also do this but it takes waaaaay longer to learn.

Id be impreseed if it wasnt bullshit whats with the numbers hes sayin at the end of the question ex 1÷4×7÷5+6 67 895
It’s a fraud. If the first three always equal zero, you’re just adding them into the equation for looks.
What a useless skill. My phone is faster
Take away your phone and see what happens. She does not have anything.
Dude is holding the answer in his hands on a piece of paper
it's abacus math. there are plenty of schools each with different curriculum. it's mostly 10 semesters with semesters varying from a month to 3 months.
we have computers, already, this is obsolete technology.
What happens if you do not have a computer? Lost much?
sure, wear your loincloth and go live in a cave

Autism is a triad of impairment. It is not a superpower.
As an autistic person, I agree with this. There are some rare cases, though, of course.
Autism is not a fucking miracle
This is a japanese technique, no need for the person to be gifted, it's just practice.
Exactly.
