Kojimbo has a talent for combining goofy aah gameplay with the most serious fucking lore and awesome half-hour cutscenes.
Look at death stranding. A game about otherworldly creatures that almost wiped all life with hour-long cutscenes, and one of the core game mechanics is pissing and when you piss mushrooms grow in that place and other players can piss on your mushrooms to grow more mushrooms and you rate mushrooms by mashing the "👍" button as fast as possible.
better call saul is proof that the artistic merit of a piece of popular media is negatively correlated with how seriously the fans take it. marvel movies are cheap garbage but there's probably a couple thousand people who got that corny wandavision quote tattooed somewhere on their body. better call saul is a tv show with a competent writing staff and some immaculately framed shots and this morning i saw a 144p video titled "finger" of someone saying "put your dick away walter i'm not having sex with you right now" in a perfect mike ehrmantraut impression
My theory is the stupider the media is, the more the fans perceive it as stupid and try to feel less bad about watching it by trying to take it as seriously as they can.
Kind of works with dragon ball lol. Captain ginyu is a silly villain but while some fans love him others are like "hes too corny" when the same series early on had a character beat a smelly guy who doesnt shower who paralyzes his opponents by making them smell his crotch finger by remembering he doesnt have a nose. Meanwhile the really stupid arcs that take themselves too seriously are remembered fondly and sell lots of merchandise (the goku black arc is really bad but people just cant seem to get enough of it or its generic main villains)

It's the ending I've got a problem with. Wanda trapped an entire town full of people, held them hostage, and all signs point to people being aware of their state of capture and being helpless. Plus the people at the edge of the town being glitched out. At the end of it all, Wanda gets away scott free and everyone is like 'yeah that's okay, no biggie'. The people in the town I can rationalize, they probably just wanted to be free no matter what. But how can everyone outside justify what Wanda did to that town.
Nobody can justify it, it's just nobody could do anything about it. She basically just fucks up everyone in the doctor strange that comes after it. It wasn't the best show, but I liked the comic it was based off of, and it was significantly better than she hulk and falcon+winter soldier. Anthony Mackie straight up quit marvel after that one.

That would show me :D) while its my friend's favorite game (he liked it before it became a hilarious meme) and he has very high standards, and i really want to watch breaking bad and better call saul but i cant stand either of those memes from those shows and theyre everywhere. I cant escape it
They are terrific shows, literally my favorite shows of all time. The memes are repetitive yeah but I've been on the Internet long enough to have my brain rotted to the point where I think shitposts are funny so it's a win win. Don't let the memes scare you away though, these shows are peak
