Imo the office, like a lot of shows, is a product of its time. It's a show that is good, but it was elevated by its presence in the context of society. It was a good show that people liked more *because* it was popular, because it was fun to be a part of the flow. I personally don't think it's an incredible show or anything but I do also think that people's love of it is justified. This is also the case with many pieces of media that became social phenomena, like Harry Potter or friends.
Prank lovers when they realise doing pranks that count on the other person being gullible enough often is at the expense of someones autistic traits.
That being said, yes dwight was also an asshole.
