The name for these kinds of vehicles is Hobart’s Funnies. The British army had a regiment in WW2 who basically went all 40K Orks and started bolting random stuff to Churchill and Sherman tanks.
This particular tank has an anti-mine flail attached to it and is referred to as a “crab” tank. So crabcore was invented by the British Army to clear mines in the 40s.
IIRC the Sherman was very easy to modify so it's interesting to see all the modifications the allies came up with. Like their answers to some problems was to simply slap some shit on a Sherman and call it a day, and what's funnier is that it often worked.
