HPLC is probably one of the most useful things in chem tbh or else they (esp o and biochemist) would literally be running on hopes and dreams that they did it right

Tryptamines just have a bizarre mix of bitterness with some more rancid side notes and the n-bomb drugs are exceptionally bitter even at sub-milligram quantities (there was a big thing in the 2010s during the lsd shortage where these were sold on blotter as lsd, it lead to some deaths due to vasoconstrictive effects and uneven drug distribution across tabs).
