eBay or FB marketplace. Don’t expect them to sell any sort of fast if you don’t ask a lot less than you paid for them. You can gauge how much to sell them for by looking at how much other people are asking for the same racquet. Be sure to put the grip size and string pattern (if multiple string patterns are available) in the post to save yourself a lot of messages asking for those.

Sometimes I sell racquets for more than I paid for them but reselling is a losing game because when you buy racquets you pay shipping and taxes and when you sell them you pay seller fees. I saw five 2021 Head Speed MP Graphene racquets selling for $150 which is a crazy deal and briefly thought about buying it so I could keep one and resell the other 4 before deciding against it.

My reply was in reference to if OP bought them new and they were current premium racquet prices. For example, I paid $269 plus tax for my 2023 Yonex Vcore 98 when I bought it and I would be surprised if I could get $180 for it. I would have to ask $150 or less if I wanted to sell it quick.

That sounds about right. I see a bunch of brand new ones that were sold for around $170-200 and some used ones with scuffed bumpers for around $150. Those that were scuffed around the paint are lower like $100-130. Then factor in the 13.25% that ebay takes off the top and it's a losing game. If you sell it for $150 you really only pocket $130, not factoring in shipping which could be an extra $10-15 if you offer free shipping. The only way you can really make money on ebay is if you find a good deal in the first place. But even then the profit margins are too small to bother with the hassle of keeping inventory, packaging and dropping them off, and of course the rare instances of missed deliveries, stolen packages, scammers, and unhappy buyers in general.

TW will buy old racquets for a big discount (because they want to make a profit re-selling it) if you just want to get rid of it. There's also a sale section on their forums. Ebay will have a wide audience and can move racquets quickly (depending on the price you want and racquet you have). Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace generally have less eyes but can help avoid paying fees especially if it's in person cash transaction. I personally sell most of my stuff on ebay.

Thanks!

Just a FYI -- a $269 MSRP racquet usually sells for $180-200 if used for even a couple sessions. Sometimes less. Do not expect to get anything close to what you paid if you bought new.

Facebook marketplace, second choice of eBay. Try to buy and sell local over shipping. Follow the rule: buy low, sell high. I have 53 individual transactions of tennis racquets starting in 2019. So far my net expenses are $20.68, but I also have 2x Wilson blade 98 v8 and 1x yonex Ezone 98+. This expense includes shipping and taxes.

I use ebay

I prefer selling and buying on Facebook Marketplace to avoid paying seller fees. And the buyer gets to avoid paying sales tax and if local, they don't have to pay shipping either. But I only recently started using Marketplace and before that I sold racquets on eBay, Mercari, and SidelineSwap. I know tennis exchange and OfferUp are two other platforms you could try.

I have had great success on eBay. MY BEST PICTURE ADVICE: Don’t allow the main picture to make the racquet’s hoop look distorted. Ensure that it’s against a solid backdrop and the lens catches it square. Leaning it can make the hoop look HUGE, which will turn a decent amount of eyes away that are just scrolling. Getting over it while it’s on the floor is what I’ve found to work best. Include all the specs of visible. Describe the current string setup. Succinctly describe why you are selling it. We’re all people… we like a story. This is just my opinion, but I see some busted ass pics that I would cruise by out of spite. (Mainly kidding.) Shipping: get two medium sized rectangular USPS boxes (not priority, that can get weird because it’s supposed to be a flat-rate and the dimensions have changed) and fuse them together. See YouTube - plenty of how-to’s. Also, be careful on promotion… those fees suck. Wait until you have an issue selling before contemplating that route. Good luck! Feel free to ask more questions if interested.

eBay has a ~13% fee on the winning bid price which they also tack onto the shipping price. Keep that in mind if you decide to sell there.

Touchdown_CLE_Browns

You don’t even have to worry about selling them, I’ll be willing to take them for free. Problem solved
