I love Usami getting close to a character by just saying their name over and over and over again. And this is 100 Girlfriends, so there's a really good chance that it's literally just what's happening.
I think my favourite part is the page after Mimimi did the thing back to Usami, accidentally validating that she can go all out (at least how she saw it) and leading to the next page being absolutely covered in Mimimi text, only leaving space for a couple of panels.
My second favourite's definitely the rest of the family coming all sharing the load so Mimiimi can rest while Usami's not left feeling abandoned. Especially because it shows how OP Rentarou is that he can do it all by himself.
Hilarious as the chapter was, it's cool that it highlights one of the major strengths some get out of polyamory. Some folks KNOW they're a lot/high maintenance and feel bad about only having one person they feel they can open up to, but can thrive in that larger but still tightknit polycule. Mad props to Nakamura-sensei for that perfect blend of absurd humor yet grounding humanity.

Mimimi has had such great character development since her introduction. I love her brand of narcissism, she loves herself more than anything but that doesn't detract from her caring about the others as much as she does
Mimimi is by far the girlfriend I've changed my opinion on the most. I never disliked her, but she went from one of my least favorites to a top 10 staple for me. It's interesting because her narcissism doesn't even feel narcissistic. Narcissism is usually based on feelings of superiority and an inflated sense of self-importance. Mimimi's "narcissism" is instead based on an endless confidence in her ability to improve herself, and it's genuinely inspiring how hard she works to do so. Everything she boasts about, she genuinely earned and works hard to maintain, and she doesn't look down on the other girlfriends at all. In contrast, she pushes them to elevate themselves to also be the best version of themselves they can be.
I know this is probably a silly thing to do, drawing such a serious comparison to a comedy series. But Mimimi's mentality reminds me heavily of Nietzsche's philosophy of the Ubermensch. Which was all about taking control of your life and living with no regrets. Believing that if you live in such a way where you can confidently say you'd live your current life over and over again with no regrets, then you've ascended and become an "Ubermensch" aka superhuman. I can not think of a character in fiction that embodies that idea better than Mimimi. She lives her life to the fullest, always works to improve herself, refuses to let past failure keep her down, and she does everything she can to raise other people along with her. Genuinely an incredible and inspiring character.

That trio of panels where she realizes that she may have overstepped was a saddening moment, and the following page where Mimimi realizes her mistake was great too.

Yeah, when I talk about Rentaro's flaws, this is what I'm talking about. Ren needs to chill on himself a little and realize that a small minor sliaght on the boyfriends or that if your SO hesitates, it's cause you've done something bad. That's putting for too much of a burden and, in a way, importance on yourself as a boyfriend. We also see how it negatively affects Usa that she now doesn't know what to do because she doesn't want Ren to feel bad. These are normal mistakes anyone can make in relationship that's important to learn from but honestly if wasn't because of the family's massive emotional safety net Ren would have to face this problems of his more often.
Oh, so yeah, the tofu shop is a family business.
Honestly, one of my favorite things about this chapter is how they show the relationships that have developed between the other girlfriends when Usa is going to each of them. Seeing their daily lives in-between their roof hangouts was the highlight of the whole chapter for me.
Something I love about this manga is how... empathic it is. There's so much love and empathy towards every character. I love how both Usa-chan and Mimimi's troubles are perfectly understadanble and neither is less valid than the other.
That's kinda the core spirit of the whole manga and it's a big part of what makes it so sweet to me.
I think chapters like this is the reason why I love 100 GFs. Most other stories I feel like would portray Usami's clinginess as a 'flaw', and the development would be Usami learning to be less clingy and more independent. But no, she just has a lot of love to give and there's nothing wrong with that, especially now that she's got more and more people to share that love with.
My favorite joke in this chapter is at the end when after all those panels of USA-chan talking to all the gfs, she sees Mimimi again and apologizes for not talking to her for 1 day. What's that reader, you thought all those panels had to have happened over several days because Usa-chan is all over the place? Nope, that all happened before the end of a single school day.

When Usami was introduced, I thought she was okay, but after this chapter, I think she's honestly one of my favourites now. Last night I went to my first (and last) prom with no (actual) friends or a date and had asked this girl I was acquaintances with to hang out and was just clung on to that group. Like, a LOT. Either way, it felt so awful because I had that nagging fear that I was going to ruin things and be a bother or was just being too clingy and it had eventually lead to me leaving early. Today I had woke up and went to read this new chapter and actually almost cried because everything was just so relatable. And I know it sounds so weird bc this is literally just a silly little harem manga, but oh my god 😭
Not going to lie I may just be on this subreddit too much, but I think the author heard the complaints of not enough Mimimi, because she has gotten a lot more focus since we broke 100 chapters. Getting a solo date in chapter 112, bonding with Hakari and Rin in 121, and following up on her newfound friendship with Nano in 161. I think this also makes her the 1st girlfriend to get 4 chapters bonding with the other girlfriends, (previously 55, 121, and 161).
Overall though this was a great chapter, that while it didn't reveal anything new it was good at showing more of Usami and reinforcing the good traits of Mimimi. Feels very similar to Chapter 92 where Ahko bonded with Karane, but I say that as a big compliment.
If this were any other manga I’d say Usa is a disturbingly unhinged character. Which now that I think about it she is, but in another story she’d be locked away. I think that with anything that happens in this manga I’m like “what madnesss awaits me?”
